fair price for a location close to the center. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly
it's a youth hostel, so do not expect too much. No TV in your room, breakfast was included but was youth hostel style. If you expect hotel like accomodation, this is not what you are looking for

Don't let the word, "Hostel" have you look away! We booked a double room with private shower/toilet and it was great! The location is close to central Dresden (Christmas Markets) and very convenient! - The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They all spoke English exceptionally well! Breakfast was very good - lots of variety and plenty of it! I would highly recommend this hotel and will plan on visiting again in the future! Parking is a bit scarce, but there is free overnight street parking on the street in front of the hotel - just be sure to pay the automated parking machine by 8:00am the next morning!

This is a very affordable place to stay in Dresden. The room was very bare bones - no tv, no fridge, etc. That was fine for me though. The bathroom was a nice size. There is a laundry room with iron, ironing board and W&D, which is convenient. The location is good for walking to the city center or bus & train station. The place was pretty clean.
It is a youth hostel and some of the youth guests can be very loud in the hallways. I recommend bringing earplugs, just in case.

they could mention the availability of a shared kitchen so guests can plan accordingly; additionally, a membership fees is charged if you’re not a member of the youth guest house, for your stay..that could be factored in the upfront booking fees.

What I like the most is the breakfast. It was rich with a lot of varieties. The food was pretty fresh. The bread was toasted and crunchy. I suspect that they make their bread. The location is very central. It's just two stops away from the main train station.
The room was very small. I didn't like the bed at all. There were two single beds in the room. I was looking for a big twin bed. The beding was very basic. There was no real mattress but a foam one. The room furniture was very basic with a table two chairs and a wardrobe.
The whole facilty is full of teenagers. They can be boisterous and loud, running up and down the hallway and stairs. If you are very sensitive about noise, this environment could be challenging for you. There was also some type of construction work going on right outside of my windows. So there was extra loud noise that I tried to keep out by shutting my windows.

Great location, friendly staff, clean, varied breakfast even for Vegans (they have vegan cheese, sausage and spreads as well as soy milk and oat yogurt. More fruits could be nice though..), cheap self laundry at the basement and free luggage storage. They even gave me a small present since I checked in on my birthday ?
Minor things: The hotel is huge, so some walking distances can be expected to your room/to the breakfast area. Also, the dining tables are in separate rooms, and the lobby can sometimes become quite loud with all the youngsters around...

The day staff was so helpful in finding our way around. We only had a reservation for one night but he accommodated us even though it was our error in arrival dates.
There wasn’t really anything I didn’t like. It was good value for the money and the breakfast was more than expected. It is the only stay on our trip so far that had bananas.
