The hotel is in a good location, luxury medieval style decoration, very clean and prepares a baby cot for my 3 year-old daughter in advance, she likes it a lot.
There is no refrigerator or microwave to store or warm up food, have to throw old pizza unfortunately. Wall insulation is bad, you can hear neighboring rooms.

It is good location 10-12 minutes walk from train station as it is little bit hilly. Best price to stay in Dortmund if you are looking for a proper hotel. It was clean and not loud.
We have booked 2 rooms during our trip with my cousins, one triple and one double room. When we arrived around 3 pm the sofa bed was not made yet; therefore it was not a triple room that we got assigned it was a double room with a sofa. 3 days later we stayed in the same hotel again and this time we got a proper triple bed room. Luckily our first stay was only for a night and was not a big issue but of course if I book a triple bed room, I expect to see 3 beds.
Also prior to our stay, I wrote to hotel through booking if we can leave one of our luggages for 3 days until our second stay and hotel manager said that it is not a problem. When I asked that in the reception, lady there immediately rejected and she said they can only stay one day. Luckily I had a written confirmation so that lady had to accept it at the end.

Location and value for money is excellent albeit parking isn't easy to navigate if you're new to the area..
The hotel looks extremely grand but the reception wasn't overly friendly. Maybe language was an issue as my German isn't fantastic. The room was spacious but not the best in terms of comfort. My room didn't have a view (other than a dirty roof) but the curtains were kept closed so didn't matter too much. The bathroom was excellent and the shower certainly helped in the morning. however
