Location is excellent, everything is walking distance in the city centre. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious.
I expected a kettle in the room to make tea, which was listed in the room as facility. There was a Nespresso coffee machine with capsules and tea bags, but not sure how I was supposed to make a tea with this coffee machine... I was travelling with my dog, and they have charged me EUR 35 (!) for him, specially staying there for only one night. It is scandalous! I'm ready to pay some extra for my dog, what I have normally did, max EUR 10-15 a night, but EUR 35 is way too much and unacceptable! Also just a few words about the parking, because it is also overpriced! I had paid EUR 25 for 1 day, while in the parking garage next door it could have costed me EUR 17. So be aware of these extra charges before booking... If I have known these extra charges, I would have booked somewhere else.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was also nice offering a solid breakfast buffet.
The WIFI coverage could use an improvement as there were frequent disconnects.

Good location.
The hotel is replacing carpeting in all guest rooms and hallways. Rolls of carpeting were stacked right next to our door, but the reception clerk didnt say a word about it when we checked in. The stretch of glue was so strong that we had a headaches within 10 minutes of arrival. The hotel allowed us to cancel our reservation and helped us get a room at another Mercure hotel, but it was a much less safe part of the city.

- Very close to the underground station and the city center, - Nice and helpful staff, - I could check in earlier, - When leaving luggage you get a number (which is very rare these days). - Clean and tidy.
- Strange arrangement of lights and switches, - Few amenities such as a fridge or glasses in the room, - The TV is small, barely visible from the bed, - WiFi could be faster, - You have to order cleaning.

The room is very comfortable, clean, has everything you need, including an iron, a mini bar with 2 bottles of water. Located right next to Cologne Central station (Cologne HBF), a 5-minute walk to the city's main cathedral and the famous bridge.
