It was a pleasant stay. The staff was very helpful and kind. My room was comfortable and spacious, it truly let me enjoy this stay. It is amazing to stay in the hotel, which even for the lowest rate offers way more than a small claustrophobic room.
Windows of the room was to the street, so noise could be an issue.

The breakfast was simple but good. The staff was very helpful and hospitable. Check in was easy with the door code and envelope with your keys left at the front desk for late arrivals. I liked the fact that they use real keys as opposed to card keys, which means you can turn on the light without having to fumble around in the dark for the card slot. They also had a nice system for helping yourself to drinks and snacks in the late hours and charging them to your room. All in all the place gave us a sense of well-meant and community-oriented accommodation which nonetheless offers good quality for the price.
Parking was our only issue. Our only option next to the hotel was paid street parking which is free during the night, but requires you to get up early and display a ticket from 7 am onwards. The hotel did state that they didn't offer parking, so I can only blame ourselves and the city of Dortmund for this inconvenience.
