The breakfast was truly exceptional! Not only was there a wide variety of delicious choices, but everything was also prepared with such care and attention to detail...it really felt like it was served with love.
The room overlooking the backyard was lovely, though at night it could get a little lively. Around 4am the bakery next door has its deliveries, which means some unloading noises. If you’re a light sleeper who enjoys keeping the window open, you might notice it now and then.

It was clearly an historical home converted into an hotel! The property was clean, well presented and so close to the city centre! If it wasn’t for the wind I would have probably been able to reach the centre in 15 minutes!
Unfortunately the downside of being a converted historical home, is that there was no lift (not that I could see anyway!).
I think that also for the price paid it would have been a nice touch to have a coffee / tea station in the room itself.
Also the breakfast selection was not the greatest. It costs 14/15€ but when I asked what vegetarian options there would be, they only offered yoghurt, muesli, and other cold options. For the price of the room and of the breakfast, I’d expect to have at least eggs, mushrooms, pancakes or something along those lines.

Wonderful
I loved the high ceilings, the room and bath was very clean, the bed was nice, and this all made it quite pleasant to stay in this old Kölnisch house.
The host also let me leave my luggage in the house for an hour after checkout.

Really nice. Inga was so friendly and welcoming. She was great! The rooms were so spacious with high ceilings. Brilliant location!

Location was ideal for the main purpose of my visit being close to Laxness Arena.

This is a beautiful little gem. Walking distance to the bridges, and very close to public transportation. We also enjoyed the restaurants on this side of the river. The room and bathroom were really large and beautifully decorated. Staff was wonderful.
Just an FYI, there are stairs, no lift. We had no problems navigating stairs but others might want to know.

The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, freshly prepared and my requests were dealt with in a friendly and helpful manner. I arrived very late but the communication with the hotel was excellent and I was able to enter with no issues. The staff were very friendly, very well organised and very helpful. A very, very good experience.
No complaints at all about the hotel.

The room was very nice and very clean with modern furnishings in this old historic building. We liked it a lot. The recommendations made as to where to find a good Schnitzel/Steak etc. was spot on and really made our night in Cologne very special. Complimentary mineral water is a nice touch. Location is very nice but also has a downside as specified under dislikes.
We would have liked some coffee/tea in the room... we stayed in a lot of different guest houses in the last 2 weeks and this was the only one not offering coffee/tea along with bottled water. This guest house is in an awesome location which is one of the reason's we chose it although it is also a very busy and noisy area and we struggled to sleep with people drinking outside in the street till very late.

Appartments are in very noisy place. No air conditioner what gives you conditions of sauna. So if you open windows - noise, if you close - nothing to breave and very hot. No elevator, so difficult with heavy staff. Expensive breakfast, you can get much cheaper in several meters

the room was large, super clean, beds and pillows comfy, bathroom also big and clean. we had extra towels and shower gel which was nice. we also had some sparkling water as compliment which was great upon arrival. staff super friendly. we were facing the front of the hotel which overlooks the small street but it wasn't loud or noisy, we had a great night sleep. location also very good, close to the tram station, and also 15min walk into town over the bridge. Loads of small cafes and restaurants on the street, and also had something like a "farmers" (?) market in the morning. Groceries nearby as well. overall would recommend and would stay again.
no aircon, which was not a big deal, we opened the windows, but with aircon would have been even better as it was a bit warm in the room. occasionally you could also hear people next room
