The hotel is very well located, very close to city center and Christmas markets. And yet, it wasn't loud, nor overcrowded.
The breakfast was decent, room is pretty big.
The lobby looks renovated and modern, with beautiful decorations.
The room is very outdated, decoration is kinda depressive - grey, minimalist and basic. However, it is clean and serves it's purpose.

Hotel is next to the shopping area, its very very close. But room was like incomplete. But it was overally so clean and tidy. Room structure was so cool as the pictures. Staff was ready to help.
There was no phone inside the room, and AC was not heating and no heater at all. And January cold make me suffer. Also there was little smell from the toilet

Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Easy walk to the cathedral and old town areas. Convenient adjacent parking which was one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel.

Good location and fine stay for weekend exploring the city
Reception staff were quite unwelcoming and unhelpful, basic hotel room without a kettle and one elevator for a large hotel, which was out of order for a short period of time.

brakefast was ok little vegetable choice, juice machine was great. location was very good.
room not clean very small dirty rags, elevator most of the time didn't work we where at 4th floor each time to go up 4 floors was not my kind of vacation, during that time the bar-man behaved so rood to us sitting in the lobby never put a smile on he's face always not plesente at all
during that time none of the stuff offer any kind of compensation for the fact we needed to climb to our room. but the overall situation wasent so good. ohh and the worst is they dont have phone in the rooms if you have any problem like no towel's you have to go downd to the recption to ask for

I enjoyed the room overall — it was clean, comfortable, and nicely kept.
We stayed on the 6th floor and had a nice view over the city, which was a great bonus. The bathroom was good, modern and clean.
The location is convenient: not right in the center, but an easy 15–20 minute walk to get there, which worked well for us.
Overall, it’s a nice hotel, and I would return, but ideally at a lower price than what we paid this time. Nothing particularly negative; just a bit overpriced for the experience.
The bed was a bit small for a double, and while I found it okay, my partner didn’t love it, so I’d say the comfort level was “medium.”
I do think the price was very high for what it was — likely because we stayed over a Christmas market weekend, when everything is more expensive. We didn’t try the breakfast, so I can’t comment on that.
Also I asked for a quite room, and the lady at the reception said "Everything is quite on Sunday..." I didn't like that answer I was staying there for more than one night and I didn't found it appropriate

The location and some staff not all of them.
In fact, no boiler in the room, no heater.
It was super cold we asked several times to adjust the heater or air condition, nothing happened.
The room was small, even though we booked a room with street view and had a confirmation, they provided a room with backyard view and told us that they don’t have a street view room, in addition to, no shoes, or toothbrush or extra services. The double bed was small, the blankets were also super small two blankets of 90 cm width each.They don’t stick to what you book or reserve.The last day we had to move through the second hotel since we had 4 luggages and the elevator was broken, they were repairing it.

Location of the hotel was great. Even though it was close to the city center it was in a quiet neighborhood.
Heating system in my room wasn’t working so the room was really cold. When I informed the reception about the situation they brought an electric heater to the room. Also the shower didn’t have a door and the water was leaking to the bathroom floor.

One day my room was not attended to. When I mentioned it to the desk person he offered me a gratis drink at the bar. I had also asked the person at the desk about an activity I experience years ago in Köln — a drag show. He didn’t seem to know what I was talking about. I found the breakfast offerings just ok. If the Römerturm is a 3 star hotel, then perhaps my expectations are not appropriate. If it is a 4 star hotel or rated higher, then my appraisal is accurate. If the Römerturm‘s goal is to cater to a business clientele, then my comments are, probably, not relevant.

Lovely hotel, in a good location.
Staff were friendly.
The room was well equipped (and was amazed at how big it was) and comfortable. The room was also very clean.

The lift was quite old and slow, and the signage in the stairwell was confusing.

I thought the people behind the front just seemed like they couldn't be bothered. I arrived an hour and a half early and I got from the man at the reception was a cold "check in is at 3". No suggestions to Bide my time.
At checkout I was waiting for almost two minutes before reception to even look up to acknowledge my presence. I all had to do was drop off the hotel card.

The location was excellent and the room was spotless.
The most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. Pillows were awful, there was supposedly a "pillow bar" which said to go to reception. Upon speaking to the person at reception they said they have no clue what I'm talking about.
Hotel is nice enough but definitely wouldn't call it a 4-star hotel.

While the room is a bit small, the space is very functional. Simple, quiet room with enough space for luggage and backpacks, and there is still enough room to walk around. The view of the Cathedral Dom top is nice. There are grocery and convenient stores, restaurants, and shopping close by. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Long walk from the central train station. There's no fridge and water kettle. There's only 1 elevator, so it could be a long wait during busy time.

Wonderful
The breakfast variety was quite good, with the option to have freshly squeezed juices from fruits and vegetables, which was a nice touch. Must try delicious honey served straight from the frame.
The staff were generally friendly and helpful, except for the bar girl who was less welcoming.
The location is calm and quiet, yet still close enough to the main sights, making it convenient for exploring.
A pleasant surprise was that after check-out, they gave us Italian herb seeds as a gift — a thoughtful and unique gesture!
One small downside was that there was no toothpaste available at reception when mine finished, so I had to go out and buy it from a store.
