After reading some reviews we didn’t expect too much. However, Tom the owner was delightful and caring.‘ He helped with our luggage up some stairs ( no lift) and parking our car. This hotel/ pub has a beautiful beergarten and great ( with local dishes) menu. Our breakfasts were amazing, all cheerfully served by Tom. We will stay there again. ?? Shops , supermarkets and tram/ bus very close.
No lift. And NO FAN.

This hotel is a little out of the way so expect to drive or take the tram to the city center. Having said that, it was quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small but clean. Great breakfast provided. Parking can be an issue. and there is no elevator.

Location was handy, breakfast pretty good. Staff pleasant.
Breakfast offered very late. 8am weekdays 9am weekends. Bathroom nil water pressure, water literally dribbled out of tap. Had to use the shower head to fill the sink. Advertised tea and coffee but only had coffee making machine in room. No use if you don’t like coffee. No lift, 42 steps up each time you had to get to your room was exhausting. There for 5 days and resented having to pay in full before getting the key to the room.

A friendly family run hotel and brauhaus in Rodenkirchen half way between Cologne and Bonn with a good tram service to both cities. The town is on the bank of the Rhine and there are walking trails along the river. The brauhaus seerves good food and there arelots of shops and restaurants around.

Lovely location easily reached by u bahn no 16. Large room, great shower. Big windows which aired room nicely. Supermarkets nearby. Pleasant shopping area nearby. Host pleasant. Easy access by key to property and room late at night.
Was a really strong smell of stale cigarettes when we came into the room. Also in the breakfast area stank of smoke. Really spoilt my breakfast. Was a coffee machine in our room. Didn't use it as we didn't find the pods until just before we left. In a silver tin that looked like a table top rubbish bin, nowhere near the coffee machine. Road was quite busy and noisy.

The bathroom was very small and full of mold and dampness. Also, the shower was clogged and after 1 minute the water was full and got out of the small bathtub. This was repaired the 2nd day after we announced it. The hotel had no AC and it was very hot inside. The price was way over the quality of this hotel. Location was 35 minutes by public transport to the city center.
