Jacuzzi bath buttons didnt work. Can't get water colder than 38 degrees - so no cold shower (if you like that)

Great staff: super friendly, helpful and polite. Interesting interiors. Very clean and comfortable room with a small bathroom which nevertheless had a bathtub in it. Just some minutes walk from the Köln Hbf, Rhein waterfront and a pedestrian/cycling street with supermarkets, kiosks, cafes, bars etc.
Spacious gym with a lot of equipment.
I wish there were tea/coffee making facilities, like a kettle at least, in my room.

Staff is legendary both in reception + spa. Amazing gym, amazing spa, amazing lobby bar. Great location. Very decent internet for a hotel. Will come back when in Cologne.
Nothing not to like but one suggestion to be even better:
1. Include 0.5L of sparkling and 0.5L of still water per room per night and include coffee/tea maker. Despite that, Savoy is still on par with 5* hotels and better then some of them. I know there is minibar but I always feel too stingy to use them.
2. Make better breakfast eggs - scrambled were so so. Maybe there is an option to order 2 simple sunny side eggs “a la carte” but i didnt see it.

Friendly team, pleasant atmosphere, beautiful hotel decorations, a quiet breakfast room, and a gorgeous window view during breakfast. As a suggestion, - It would be nice if the hotel had a signature scent.
I didn’t have a separate towel for my hair. The pillow was too big, too hard, and it was the only one provided. I also didn’t quite understand how I was charged. They took a deposit of €320 for two nights, but my total bill at the end was €279. The amount returned to my card was only $18.54 USD. I don’t really understand what I was charged additionally for. I will contact the property about this as well.

Comfortable beds and a dark room, excellent helpful staff, great amenities, perfect location within walking distance of the train station.
They offered breakfast without noting that it cost extra, and it was not worth the €39 price.

Amazing breakfast and a great rooftop bar. The rooms are very big and spacious. Everything in the hotel is nicely decorated.
It was a bit hot in the bar area but I think there might have been some maintenance work ongoing while we were there. But the AC in the room worked perfectly!

I was looking for an hotel near the station with a min 25 m2 surface area, quiet, with a desk. I wanted a hotel with a suitably equipped gym...I almost got it. The desk was not one you could comfortably work on but it was there. The view from the corner room was of the cathedral and the railway station (inevitably); this was charming and amusing in equal measures.
The hotel is next to a rough area taken over by the usual un-german shops: kebab, chicha, mobile phone plastic accessories and the ubiqutous middle eastern bride outfits (why????). BUT, there as a couple of supermarkets to shop from if you do not want restaurants rich food. The jacuzi in the room was working !!!!! nice one. Staff was present and helpful.
The hotel is best described as a tart's boudoir. The decor is a cross between liberace and a bordello. I am sure some people might be fans of this. There were a number of issues with the lights in the room, these were never resolved. Confusion reigns in reception about the rooms they have. We were told our room was on the Asian floor, looking at the decor it was clearly African. LOL...do they know they run a hotel? I would not stay in that hotel again...the area, the tartiness of the rooms etc....this is better suited for people who like a heavy, dark, rather suffocating decor than I am. There was no option to eat expect flamekuchen...not great on a windy rainy sunday when everything seems closed. Koln is an ugly rough city, this hotel is its metaphor.

The roof top bar is nice, the location is good, the decor is nice throughout the hotel.
I think rooms should include bottled water, tea and coffee making facilities. I also think the breakfast is underwhelming, especially for €29.
