Location, breakfast and staff were great. Room was spacious.
Pool was cold. The room heating didn't work as it was spring/temperature outside was apparently too high however the room felt cold. However, we were given 2 heater fans which helped.

It was clean and quiet. Friends who lived nearby suggested this location. It’s a little isolated. It’s like you’re in a residential area. My Uber driver question whether we were at the right address. I turned and saw it down behind us. Once inside, it’s a nice place. They have a separate room where you can self serve purchase with your credit card some snacks and beverages. There are no shops or restaurants nearby. I got a room for one which turned out to be the handicapped room so I had a shower that was surrounded by a plastic curtain and a drain in the floor. This makes sense for a wheelchair or similar equipment. I had a twin bed. I did go check out the sauna and pool, but I never had time to actually use it. The pool looked nice. The sauna looked great. I’d say that would be the top reason to stay here. The gym I think was just a couple of aerobic machines may be a few weights. It served my needs, it was comfortable, but I wouldn’t give it a five star ranking..

Breakfast was fantastic! Great variety and freshness of products.
Staff was not very helpful at check-in and when questions were raised. Room was not cleaned once despite asking twice for a clean after 2 and then 3 days.

Everything was perfect. The dispenser water system was very good. Hotel is very much near the köln center, but No noise and calm.
There are two hotels with the same name with slight difference. But both hotels mention the same distance from the Köln center. But one hotel (Mercure - the west) is very far from center. It makes confusion.
