The location is fabulous. Right in the middle of cologne amidst the restaurants and beer houses. The steam room and sauna are great and the massages were brilliant
The daily cleaning service was variable. On some days the room was well made up and restocked with coffee and towels, but on other days it wasn't.

Great room, very large and spacious, great view of the cathedral. God location very close to the older part of Cologne and the riverside. Lots of local restaurants and bast to easily walk to. Poole is good, didn't use the sauna though.

The location was definitely a big plus.
The staff, especially the lady who was managing the breakfast has to be one of the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. She openly rolled her eyes every time we asked a question about the buffet. She refused to greet us each morning and I could help think that she was going out of her way to make us feel unwelcome. A very unpleasant experience. Another frustration was that the lift was constantly out of order and this caused huge queues and almost 5 minutes to go up to level 5. Having my older mother with me who struggled to cope with stairs, this was not ideal. Reception said it would not be fixed for another week.
