Location was excellent, could walk everywhere from the hotel.
Weird smells in the pool area, our window looked out onto the lobby, not outside. The elevator was insanely slow.

Very well located hotel, close to Heumarkt (with many restaurants) and easy accessible. Excellent breakfast and very kind staff.
Furniture and bathroom amenities are pretty old, the rooms facing the atrium are pretty noisy (every evening it was a party inside), the hallway and restaurants are a bit cold. Towels are used, should've been replaced few years ago.

Breakfast there was 1 toaster only for maybe more than 100 people you had to order omelet and took so long we finish the the breakfast then I got the omelet.

The location was great - right near the centre and the many of the Christmas markets, which is why we were in Köln.
The size of the room was good, and the bed/mattress was comfortable. They also had a gym which is nice to have on offer.
It is quite a dated hotel and could be a lot cleaner. Housekeeping came and did not replenish the coffee while we stayed and they also did not take away our mugs from our coffee from the first morning. To me, that means they likely don’t clean thoroughly.
The pillows were very flat and small, and the bedding was lacking.
There were also only two elevators for the big hotel which resulted in long lines. There wasn’t even an option to take the stairs which we asked for.

Location was fantastic, facilities were great. Showers especially were outstanding, and the room was pretty much exactly what you need from a basic hotel room.
The pillows were extremely thin and soft, there were only 2 and so it felt like your head basically directly on the mattress or on the short headboard behind you.

There was defective lamps and I notified the staff on the first day but they did not react
There was an extremely bad experience when all guests had to be evacuated because of fire in the garage , policemen and firemen …. Like in movies
It’s something was not controllable, and it was for our safety.
I usually choose Maritim since years in Germany and I only book other hotels if it’s fully booked
I booked two night to prepare for a very important meeting and sleep well but in the last night it turned out to be the worst experience I had in a hotel in my life

I think the breakfast was excellent, and we really enjoyed eating it with a view of the Rhine River. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The hotel’s atrium design makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. The restaurants inside the hotel offer very good German cuisine, and the hotel is also close to the Christmas markets, so you can have a great time during that period of the year. Overall, this is a very good hotel for the money. It’s also close to the airport, and it was easy for us to get back there.
Overall everything was great with very small points which might. There might also be still water in addition to the sparkling water inside the rooms. The sparkling mineral water from the local area was also very good. The staff should check the coffee machines inside the rooms whether they are operational or not regularly. Ours had a problem but the staff changed it immediately when we asked.

The reception Yurchenko helped me a lot she is very professional.
I would like to express my disappointment.
When I arrived in my room, there was no bathrobe provided. At around 19:00, I contacted the reception to request a bathrobe and also to ask about massage services. Unfortunately, the reception staff did not want to assist me, and I had to insist in order to receive help.
Additionally, one of the reception staff members was rude in her manner, which made the situation uncomfortable. I came to this hotel to relax and spend a pleasant day, and I believe guests should be treated politely and respectfully at all times.

Close to everything. The lobby area was beautiful. Rooms were spacious
Their lifts were slow. One was not functioning. The stairs are not easy to find.
If you stay there bring an outlet splitter. They 2 outlets available. One near the bar area and one across the room. Not handy if you both want to charge your phones on either side of your beds

Disappointing
The location is very good if you want to visit the Christmas market or other attractions.
I've booked two rooms; one with queen bed, the other twin beds. I've also asked for adjacent rooms 1 month ahead. None was organized although we were kept waiting at 5 pm, which is well after the checkin time.
The entrance car stop was jammed and there was a queue for over 15 minutes to enter the car park with no priority for hotel guests. Afterwords there was a checkin queue of another 15 minutes only to be asked to wait for the room to be ready, and get a two rooms that were supposed to be adjacent and were not.
The room and cleanliness were also an issue. Amenities like slippers were not present, cups were dirty, the room was not cleaned the first day.
Overall, very poor service.
