The room had an expansive view of the Rhein through enormous windows. An unexpected surprise: there are trees growing outside the window and in the early mornings, they were full of ring-necked parakeets.

The rooms are really really dated. There's no power sockets anywhere except on outside your door and a weird power block next to bed. The air con is poor and loud. And the beds aren't very comfy

The hotel is amazing as location and facility. The breakfast was great with a lot of fresh options. The towels were not clean.
The personal attitude seems quite unpleasant and I am not sure why the guests should feel like intruders. At least to me and my daughter the behavior at the reception was not polite. My next stay in Cologne will get booked in a different hotel even though this one is at a better location.
