The hotel was apparently freshly renowated. In my room there was still a smell of "new furniture", like in the Swedish furniture store. It was very clean. Location is good in a sense that although quite far from the center, it is not far from the S-Bahn and the tram, with S-Bahn you are in the center in less than 10 min. Breakfast was good. The staff on check-in and check-out was very friendly. I liked that the check-out is standardly until 12:00. Very comfortable bed.
The room is modern design which unfortunately lacks fucntionality. Only open shelves, no wardrobe where you can place the clothes, and the cloth hangers are supposed to be on the rack which is just next to the... coffee machine. See picture. Who would ever have an idea to hang a white shirt next to the coffee machine? BTW coffee machine was nice, but no water boiler/tea maker. On the plus side, built-in chargers incl. USB, USB-C and even contactless phone charges all over the place in the room... Another minus point, when I was making a reservation via booking something like "sauna included" was mentioned but no sauna at place in reality.

It was clean and comfy! There is a bus station just next to the hotel. Staff was friendly. Parking lot is big enough

Salmon was a pleasant surprise and scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, falafels, bacon, baby brats, specialty fruits and jellies, plain and flavored yogurts with many fruits to put in. There were more breads than i could envision being needed. The typical dry sliced meats(yuck for me) good for y'all who like 'em. Turkish neighborhood had a good turkish restaurant(Adana Grill). plenty of food store/restaurants choices for walking. Bed was ok...hard for me ok for my frin. Staff smiled the whole time I attempted to get a different room but the different room AC system would not work so we went back to our original room. The room was silent on floor 6 and had a magnificent view of Koln. Sunset was a delight out our window: room #605.
Facilities were a little beat up.

I like that the rooms are very clean and the staff was very nice. The rooms are comfortable and I liked that it has everything you need. Swimming pool is small, but clean. Sauna is also very nice!! Breakfast is good.
There was no soap, the bottles were empty. Everything else was fine!

Very Good
Swimming pool and sauna are a perfect addition to this hotel. Also comfortable beds and while next to a busy road you won't hear anything of the outdoors. Breakfast was regular.
Due to the silence inside the hotel you can actually hear the hallways and the sound of the lift. Further all perfect.

Staff absolutely wonderful. Complementary candybar in the lobby gives a nice touch, breakfast very good. Clean, tidy and great location close to the koelnmesse trade fair. Parking spaßeshalber are a big plus.
