Breakfast was just fine. Nothing special but certainly okay. With the U-bahn (tickets in the machine IN the tram itself) You are in de citycenter in ten minutes. Also really nice is the Ethiopian restaurant nearby.
The hotel is from the seventies and you can see this. The indoor pool and sauna are really great but a little bit old. The hotel is not expensive, so it is still a hotel we should visit again.

Cheap hotel outside city center.
On arrival guest at the hotel has a barbecue in parking lot. The ambience felt like a youth hostel. Large groups of Asian turist was roaming drunk around in the lobby. Guests at Hotel was sitting smoking on pillars outside the hotel.

An pleasant bonus was the presence of an air conditioner, as this is a rarity in Germany.
They could at least add a mini fridge in the room.

the hotel was even better than on the photos, it was clean and comfortable! we stayed one night and it was perfect. the staff was so kind and the hotel near the lanxess arena (which is why we came) and it was cheap so perfect:) i’ll come back next time

The carpark and the swimming pool.
The carpet in the room was quite dirty in parts and the bed was old with taped parts on the corners.

Great hotel, easy to make it to the centre and good value really, in particular the pool and sauna are a bonus, decent breakfast too. Nice little proper Cologne-style bar just around the corner.
