The room was spacious and the breakfast buffet was decent
You have to pay for towels separately, not much, but this is the first time experience that its not included in the room.

Good beds and rooms have a private shower. The breakfast was good as well, quite a bit of choices.
Location is not ideal, as it is 45 minutes walk to city centre or a tram. At night, there is nothing to do around the hostel (in winter, I think there are summer bars), and no shops, so take that in account.

The hostel is located in a nice area, close to a metro station, from which commuting to the city center is fast and easy. The hostel was clean and quiet, and the room in which i stayed was spacious, and with a nice view. Also, the staff was very helpful and polite. Lastly, the breakfast was pretty good!

Location, price, clean, warm.
Recaption told us that breakfast continues till 11 AM, but in 10 food allmost gone and workers started cleaning. Thats why we spent money for breakfast in other place.
Also due the road works its hard to find parking from the first time.

Breakfast was good. Not much varied but ok
It was my worst stay ever in Europe, due to many different points. I absolutely don't recommend it. It spoiled the whole trip to Cologne because we were cold and we got awake early in the morning for two nights in a row.
* In the middle of December the room was not heated, the radiator was cold. Due to its tiny size, the temperature in the room was still at acceptable 18 or so, but with the blankets provided it was still quite chilly to sleep on the bed at the lower level.
* The room was basically empty. No soap, no shower gel or shampoo, no hairdryer - we had to go to reception and ask them to give all these to us (fortunately, for free). The towels are also not included, you have to pay 2.5 euro for their rent.
* No rugs in the bathroom and toilet, and the floor there was freezing cold (remember, the room was not heated)
* Unwelcoming staff at reception. When the newly arrived guests come to reception, I would expect the staff at least to greet them and ask to wait a little instead of diving into their business, chatting with each other and generally acting for a couple of minutes as if no one stands in front of the reception desk.
* We were given a room on the floor occupied by a group of 30 or so children. We've heard them very loudly passing by late in the evening as well as early in the morning. I don't know whether there really were no other options, guess that the stuff just didn't care.
* The bedsheets were very worn out, with the holes in them (see photo). One of the mattresses was a new one, but it was apparently super cheap and felt like cold plastic even through the bedsheet. It was impossible to sleep on it given that the room was not heated.
* Just a small detail of how much they just don't care in this hotel - the trap leading to the second level of the bed was less than half a meter away from the locker (see another photo). Ok for the 8-year old child but already not so much for a teenager.

The hostel is around 15 min from the center with the public transport and during our stay there was quiet in the hostel. The facilities were really good, the room was clean and with a nice view.
