Breakfast was fantastic. Location was excellent.
Staff upon entry. She wasn’t friendly. Told me I had an up fee cost, I enquired this a few months ago. Maybe lost in miscommunication.
The room I was in, I could hear the neighbours next door. I could also hear screaming and running in the corridor, late into the night. .

The beds were fantastic and super quiet rooms.
Staff were very kind and helpful
Spa was a nice surprise and we got massages at short notice
No where to get a drink at 24:30 after a concert
The hotel bar was closing and wouldn't even serve us a drink to take away
We expected it to be open until 1am like mist other bars
The socket for the kettle is not working in rm 615

Breakfast is great. Rooms were spacious and location fantastic. Room service staff were excellent and friendly when we ordered food at night twice. They deserve lots of tips!
Concierge never says hello back. Just ignores. In shower the liquid soap is attached to the wall so you can't take it and use for a bubble bath. For the bath was only bar soap which is ridiculous.

Location right on the river 10min walk to Lanxess arena and a few minutes away from train stop.
Spacious rooms.
The aircon system was not very efficient to cool the room down.

Breakfast: the best I have ever had in a European hotel. High quality, great variety and breakfast restaurant with a view of the Cologne cathedral !
Parking: convenient located underneath the hotel
Room: tiny and dingy! Smelly bathroom, there were no windows or vents. But it seems central Cologne has that slight stinky smell of stagnant water even outdoors (along the river). Bathtub hard to enter (door opens into the bathroom) and antisplash bits bend the wrong way. I found it very badly designed. You cannot easily get a bit of showergel without entering the bath tub. I cannot imagine people with reduced mobility (or older guests) being able to use the shower. The shower gel gave us dry, itchy skin,
Room window overlooking a roof that got all the way to the window, I felt it was not very safe.
Swimming pool: turned out to be a tiny one, 14m or so. Not enough to tempt us. Perhaps ok for business visitors or those staying longer.
Deposit on arrival: we were surprised to be required to pay a deposit on arrival. Never seen this before and I was not warned of this before booking.
Parking: overpriced (40 EUR a day)

The breakfast was insane - the best breakfast I have every had in a hotel. We added it on last minute but wow! Even had bottles of bubbly. The room was lovely, comfy, clean. We loved the pool and I had a relaxing massage. I just wish we could have afforded more than one night!
Well, if I could win the lottery and stay longer that would be marvellous as the hotel was flawless.
