This modern hotel is located in the Merheim district, a 10-minute drive east of Cologne city center. Clean and in a quiet neighbourhood. Breakfast was basic but ok.
10/15 minute walk from tram stop wasn’t ideal but fortunately we had decent weather so it wasn’t quite so bad in the end.

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel, tucked among residential buildings. A 10-mn walk to the light rail into town, we used it as our base for the Euro 2024 in Köln (Cologne). Our room was spacious, no A/C like in nearly all the budget hotels we stayed in Germany and France. Breakfast was amazing for its variety and freshness. Free private parking. Service-oriented desk agents who held our luggage for free until we came back in the afternoon. Exceptional value for the money!
No restaurants around the hotel but they will gladly point to some places nearby like the Goldener Pflug where we had a wonderful German dinner. Grocery stores Aldi and Lidl are next to the restaurant.
