We had a lovely stay at Hotel Santo in Cologne. Very clean, staff friendly and helpful and an excellent breakfast. Very handy being close to the City centre and to the train station. We would definitely recommend it.

The hotel was smart & modern, staff were excellent, Location was excellent for train station , cathedral & Christmas markets, all in walking distance
Everything was great ,expert for the bed , we thought we was a getting a queen size bed ,But ended up with two single beds with hard uncomfortable mattresses, with child sized quilt covers, which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep .

We were provided with our room as soon as we arrived although we got to the hotel several hours ahead of our check-in time. This was well appreciated. Desk personnel are super helpful and friendly. Service in general, and breakfast in particular, are excellent. Advice about local attractions, including Christmas Markets, were on point. Location is a short walk from the Central Station.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Santo Cologne. The highlight was definitely the breakfast—absolutely perfect with a great selection, fresh ingredients, and everything beautifully presented. It was the ideal way to start each day. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The only minor downside was that the bathroom could use some renovation, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.

Staff at the hotel were so helpful especially the gentleman on reception when we checked in. We arrived late in the evening and he gave us some tips on where to eat. When we returned to the hotel each evening, he was so pleasant and helpful. Rooms were spotless and although the hotel does not provide cleaning each day, which suited us, you could get fresh towels etc at any stage at reception. Great selection at the breakfast buffet and lovely staff.
Only 1 thing, the scrambled eggs on 2 of the mornings were slightly burnt.

Location and warm welcome. Quiet room with spacious bathroom. Good breakfast.
We have been this hotel many times. We used to be given a welcome drink - not now. We used to have a choice of coffees at breakfast- now you have to pay for anything other than a standard pot of coffee. No room cleaning for the duration of the stay unless it’s requested apparently to save the environment. This is unhygienic and I suspect is more about saving money.
