Very centrally located to main train station and cathedral. Extremely friendly staff, allowed us early check-in with coordination ahead of time.
No lift, will need to climb stairs (which we didn’t mind) but may not be for everyone!

Breakfast was great. The hotel manager/owner was very helpful. He served coffee and made sure we got everything we needed.
The lack of an elevator. Although, the manager did carry our bags up. .And yes, I understand that this is an older building in a historic part of town and stairs are typical.

Check in and check out were quick and efficient. Location was wonderful, quick access to the train station and close to the Cathedral and Christmas Markets. Room was suitable to our needs, nothing fancy, comfortable bed, good water pressure in shower, clean facility.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. We came in town for the Christmas markets and this one is located right by the market at the cathedral. Its on a side street so its very quiet even with the markets going on. It an easy walk from the train station. The staff was FANTASTIC! The room was much bigger than I expected.
The only thing we didn't like was the wifi. You receive a username and password, but you have to constantly keep logging in. Even with that we would stay at this hotel again

The beds are nice and soft, the room is well insulated so you barely hear other guests and the street noise is reduced significantly.
Our room was dessert themed, which didn't fit the Christmas spirit but it was something nice that sets appart this hotel from many others.
The hotel also has an awesome location near the Cathedral, meaning you are close to most of the Christmas markets and also very near to the train station.
You can hear a bit of street noise, though it is pretty soft.
Upon check-in you also get 3 keys, to enter the building, corridor and room, which seems a bit outdated.

The bedrooms were big and comfortable. Location is very close to the train station and the Cologne Cathedral. The staff were very friendly and helpful and accommodated our request for early check-in.

Cute boutique hotel steps from the cathedral and train station. Charming rooms decorated in a North African theme. Nice touches like a nightlight and toothbrushing timer :o) They were kind enough to give me an extra blanket and pillow although the desk clerk made clear it was an enormous imposition.
I reserved a room with a queen bed but really it was two singles pushed together, with a large gap between them. Not the same thing. :o/ There was a lot of someone’s hair on the mattresses. :0 Not really what we want to see.

We stayed in the group of rooms in the building just east of the reception area (next door). The room was incredibly small. That was tolerable, but the WiFi was extremely weak and kept cutting out.

The guys at the front desk were super friendly and remembered parts of our itinerary whenever we’d come to the desk and ask us how things were.
The rooms were super clean and we had beautiful balconies with incredible views of the Dom. It’s also right around the corner. This will be my main stay any time I visit Köln in future.

Great location next to main station and restaurants.
Booking worked well.
Room was neither aired nor heated in advance.
Be aware that there are THREE doors - one to the reception (only staffed tilll 6 pm), one to the hotel (to which your key fits), and one to a residentiial building to the left. All the hotel signs are located around that door, not at the real door (those two doors are very close together). So don't panic if you return late and your key does not seem to fit at first.
