The hotel has a perfect location, two blocks from the train station and from the Cathedral. Many places nearby to eat and easy transportation. The staff is great. Hotel was very clean. Not AC, we left the windows opened and the temperature wasnt still too high, but we hear all the noise from the street. Hotel provided ear plugs.
Not AC, but we knew that in advance at booking time.

We got a room with a balcony that we could see the cathedral which was wonderful.
The sewage smell in the bathroom was terrible and made the experience very uncomfortable.

For a few days this hotel is perfect. As long as you keep the windows closed its pretty quiet. Average sized room with a good bathroom.
The room didnt have an airco, which is a must on the top floor bc you cannot open the windows w/out being bothered by the noise during the day and night. The hotel is very basic for the price you pay per night.

Impeccably clean and very comfortable. Ideal double glazing on the windows, muffled effectively all street noise. Very friendly staff, free umbrellas to use (VERY useful). One of the best places in Cologne I have stayed in, only minutes away from the Central Station.
No late checkout option: the hotel is too popular, I guess. There is no lift, which can be a problem for some guests.

The location can't be beat. You are less than a full block from the train station. Staff was great! The room was very clean. Would stay again very quiet and peaceful. Wonderful little balcony.

When I work at Kln and I always stay in this hotel. The WiFi in the room had a problem and bothered me for two days. The owners have tried their best to fix the issue finally.
Close to train station shops and restaurants.
