Wonderful
Location was very convenient. 2 streets from the train station, so if you´re coming by train, it is very easy to reach the hotel. Isolation is very good. Me and a friend came during the Kölner Karneval and despite having a parade next to the building, we couldnt hear the noise. Finally, all personal is super friendly. They were very kind to let us leave our luggage after the check-out and come back in the middle of the biggest carnival parade. Both owner of the hotel were very friendly and talkative. If I come come back to the Carnival I´ll probably book with them again.
Room was a bit too small. There are not many appliances, for example a small fridge would have been appreciated or an extra table to put our stuff. The price for a night was a bit overpriced in my opinion but I suppose that it is because of the carnival season. So prices are overall higher than usual.

The place was clean, that's the only positive, and it was convenient to reach my work location.
The price was exorbitantly high for the quality of the place, price for a 4* hotel with zero stars. The room was 10sqm, with a single and extremely uncomfortable bed. I was told there would be a table to work at, but there was nothing. The open shelf for hanging clothes was a joke; it was moving and swaying precariously. The edge of the bed (the wooden frame) was just sufficiently higher than the mattress to make it very uncomfortable to sit by the side of the bed. The mattress was terribly lumpy. The bathroom had a plastic curtain, which is terrible when one is taking a shower. The worst thing was the shower; the water would randomly turn ice cold and boiling hot while taking a shower. The thing that shook me most was that they had given earplugs in the room for cases where the street noise would bother guests; that should tell you something about the place.

A nice, big room close to the Cathedral and train station. The room and bathroom (big & clean) were decorated in an Oriental theme. I liked the personal touch with the short bedside stories. Surprisingly calm for its location. Easy check-in after reception time.

No lift, will need to climb stairs (which we didn’t mind) but may not be for everyone!

Besides it’s location in the center of Cologne, I liked the focusing of the decorations inside the hotel for sand and dessert. In addition, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for it.

Breakfast was great. The hotel manager/owner was very helpful. He served coffee and made sure we got everything we needed.
The lack of an elevator. Although, the manager did carry our bags up. .And yes, I understand that this is an older building in a historic part of town and stairs are typical.

Very good location and a lovely quiet hotel. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. You have a key for the front door so you can come and go as you please. The room was comfy - the entire hotel is sand-themed with floors named after deserts, and the decor is nice and a little old-fashioned (in a good way, though this is subjective). It’s also really close to the train station and the cathedral.
This didn’t affect me personally, but there is no lift so accessibility may be a concern for some

Check in and check out were quick and efficient. Location was wonderful, quick access to the train station and close to the Cathedral and Christmas Markets. Room was suitable to our needs, nothing fancy, comfortable bed, good water pressure in shower, clean facility.
