About a 15-minute walk to the Old Town and very close to a central tram stop. The area was very quiet, the Chocolate Museum was nearby, and the facilities were well-equipped.

We recently stayed atThe Hotel Lyskirchen Kölnwith with our family and friends booking three apartments and one standard double room for my spouse and me. Overall, it was a pleasant experience thanks to the prime location and solid facilities, though some issues prevented it from being perfect.
The location is truly outstanding, right on the riverfront and close proximity to restaurants and shops, making it ideal for a relaxing holiday.
The three apartments were fantastic—spacious, modern, and very comfortable, perfect for our group.
The hotel kindly upgraded our standard double room to a superior category, but it featured only a queen bed, which felt too small and offered little comfort for two adults, leaving us very disappointed.
Most of the staff were friendly and efficient, contributing positively to our stay, though one employee came across as somewhat rude, and parking—while available—was expensive with unnecessary complications when requesting a short extension.
In the end, the excellent location and comfortable apartments made for a good overall stay, especially for groups. The delays, bed size issue, and minor service hiccups were drawbacks, but they didn’t overshadow the positives.

Very spacious and clean room, also nice with the extra facilities such as swimming pool and fitness.
The fitness is not super equipped, there are no weights are dumbbells available.

The hotel was cute and charming. The location was great! You could walk to all of the Christmas markets in a matter of minutes.
It was inconvenient that they didn’t have parking at the hotel.

The staff were extremely helpful. They even lent us a couple of UK adaptor plugs as we’d forgotten to bring our own.
The location was perfect for us as we were able to walk up and down the Rhine to the Chocolate museum and harbour Christmas Market which is very close by and just a little further in the opposite directions the Cathedral and it’s Christmas Market.
I know it’s Germany but I did struggle without a kettle in the room to make myself cups of tea.

I travel a lot and stay in many hotels. I have never experienced staff as rude as in this hotel. Bad and even weird behavior, rude answers to simple, kind questions. I felt not welcomed and I will never stay in this hotel again. I am currently checking whether the owner of the hotel also has other hotels so that I can be sure to avoid them in the future. I have never written a critic on a hotel before, but this time it was needed.

Excellent value for money and very good hotel in general. Nice rooms, good beds, excellent location, good breakfast, very helpful staff -- I particularly appreciated their help in allocating me a quiet room. Very positive experience.

The location was perfect - close to the river front and about 10 mins walk from city centre. We also enjoyed the breakfast which was set out beautifully and a huge selection - everything you could wish for. The lady in charge of breakfast was also very friendly and polite.
The open plan bathroom! The basin and shower were behind a curtain in the bedroom - not at all private - it would be much better with a conventional separate bathroom in the room. The toilet was also in the room but behind an opaque screen - not ideal.
Also, we were Not told when we arrived that you needed to request the day before that you would like your room cleaned ( with new towels etc) the next day! We assumed this would be automatic in a 4 star hotel and it was not made clear to us.
Two of the hotel receptionists were not very friendly and not at all apologetic - we were made to feel that we were very unimportant clients!
