Very Good
Comfortable room and beds. There is a pool, a sauna and a gym, which are perfect. Staff is helpful and nice. Very easy access to the center of the city.

A fine Hotel in every way. Extras like the swimming pool and sauna, a book in my room inviting for contemplation, a super comfy bed, modern design, cleanliness and friendly staff - it all added up to a wonderful and homey stay.
The digital communication is a nightmare. I felt pressurised through my online and some social media channels - to complete hotel check-in before arrival. A confusing maze of messages, online links and instructions that I simply have no time to work my way through.
Call me a traditionalist, but I prefer to be welcomed by a REAL human being at a hotel, and NOT by a QR code. This practice also raises the question of house and guest security. Digitalisation clearly has its limits when human connection suffers as a result - and it did.
I invite the management to change this situation.

Great location. In-house swimming pool. Smooth (in-person) check-in/out.
Online check-in with multiple booked rooms was a little bit confusing (only one room could be payed). Rooms with windows facing the the inner terrace are noisy due to the swimming pool ventilation noise.

Good location, a short stroll from the chocolate museum and the Rhine. Spacious room and helpful reception staff. We left our baggage in reception on our final day.
There is a handy water dispenser in reception with large glass bottles you can refill.
Slightly odd window in the bathroom that looks into the bedroom.

From the moment we arrived the staff were super friendly. Upgraded our room.
Breakfast had a great selection and they changed the hot items daily.
Location was great as 2 minutes from the River and a 5 minute walk to the main town.
Hotel had a water machine with still and sparkling water for 14 hr use.

Poor
- Breakfast was of good variety and, although lacking a bit in quality for a 4 star establishment, was satisfactory.
- Beds were comfy and of good quality.
- Staff were for the most part friendly. Particular shoutout to Ester for being so helpful and professional.
- Location for intent of stay was decent.
Cleanliness was a significant issue during out stay. Found multiple dirty & sticky handprints on glass door of bathroom, room window, & TV.
Dust was the primary issue. Room floor & bed had visibly not been dusted properly before arrival. Given the heat of the season, we used the aircon of the room, which unfortunately was full of dust & kept blowing more into the air.
This was a health risk for me & my sibling as we both have asthma.
Reception were immediately notified. We were told cleaning staff would come next morning to clean thoroughly (big thanks to Ester for her kind help).
Despite wiping down most of the room ourselves, to the point the towels we used became dark grey, we had an awful night sleep. My sibling having more acute asthma was coughing through the night. Inhalers didn't help much sadly.
Next morning, we went to reception to kindly ask for a reimbursement for the terrible night we had due to the room's lack of cleanliness. The gentleman at reception was quickly apprehensive to our situation & adopted a very patronizing tone with us, which was highly upsetting & unprofessional. We were told to contact the general manager.
Having written them an email explaining our situation & requesting a refund for that night only (as we still had one more night & kept faith that the hotel would resolve the problem), they eventually responded & were polite & understanding (a stark contrast to the gentleman at reception that morning).
They provided us with a 20% reimbursement of that night, as a 'show of good faith' as they had put it.
Having paid close to 1000 euros for 2 nights, & being given only 76 in return for the very stressful & uncomfortable time we experienced due to this 4 star hotel's lack of basic dusting and cleanliness, this left us beyond disappointed.

Spotless hotel. Very welcoming. The pool area was super. The staff were very helpful. They provided us with a kettle rather than using the coffee machine. Water was always available in the reception area for us.
I am being picky… We swam early morning and the towels at the pool were not always replenished early morning. Nothing major though, we just used our room towels.
