The staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was absolutely fine — no complaints there. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise: fresh, tasty, and definitely one of the highlights of the stay.
However, the soundproofing left much to be desired. I could hear almost everything happening in the hallway and nearby rooms, which made it difficult to fully relax after a long day.
The biggest downside for me was the neighborhood. It felt uncomfortable and far from welcoming, especially in the evening.
Overall, there were some bright spots — especially the breakfast and the team — but the poor sound insulation and the area around the hotel really affected the experience

Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, all necessary facilities. It’s located in the suburb I needed to be in and I had no qualms about staying a second time.
Noise travels easily in the corridors, which was not great when a group was talking loudly outside their rooms after midnight.

Room was quite large and the beds were very comfortable.
Although our room was facing the busy main road, the double glazing windows helped to make the room very quiet.
Breakfast was nice.
We stayed at The Lorien over 10 years ago and some aspects need updating as I'm sure that the door to the room, the carpets and the curtains were the same! The parking area outside was full of rubbish which had blown from an overflowing bin, which made it look unsightly. The hotel has a lot of male contractors, so wouldn't recommend to single females. At breakfast time my wife felt uneasy when a guy sat a little too close to her and just kept staring at her!

Everything was perfect.
The only thing that may bother me is that the hotel is difficult to reach if you don't have a car, but we had one, so it was great. We wanted to dine somewhere close to the hotel and it was also a little bit difficult to find where, cause the nearby restaurants didn't want to serve foreigners, but we found a Croatian restaurant and we had an amazing time.
