The room was very spacious and so was the bathroom, which had to have the best basin I have ever seen in a hotel bathroom, it was huge. Breakfast was not grand, but good, worth paying for and in a part of the hotel that was 'vintage-ised' to resemble Aunt Alma's apartments, in fact this meant there was pretty good furniture and a nice atmosphere. The hotel is well positioned, on the old city wall, near tram and metro, and an easy and pleasant walk to the centre.
We arrived when there was no receptionist on duty and the access is not good. It involved a phone call to someone who then gave instructions to walk round the block to the back of the hotel, a pretty unprepossessing place. Then ring again to get the code to get into the car park, then climb a fairly steep ramp, and across to the back door, then another code to open a key box, and finally one is in after three international mobile calls and a fair bit of hassle. If you were in anyway not up to a walk, then this would not be a great entry, it was pretty bad even being up for a walk. Note to management - Why not a key code on the front door? Pity, because the rest of the stay was excellent.

I was disappointed by the rudeness of the woman with dark hair at the reception. I waited for her at the reception for about 7 minutes, she came holding a cup of coffee or tea in her hands. I asked if it was possible to stay in the same room since I had booked another one at night. She was clearly unhappy that someone prevented her from simply sitting with a cup of coffee at her workplace during working hours. She started waving her hands and said something like - now theres no time for that. When I asked her when I could come, she sarcastically said - in an hour. One could turn a blind eye to many of the hotel's weaknesses, but when such rudeness begins, it is worth warning about it.

Ideal location on one of the main city streets. 20 minute walk to the Cathedral. Nice hotel room

Decoration a little bit quirky but our room was ok. Good location easy 15 minute stroll into the city. Breakfast was good.
The hotel is in a busy vibrant area so there was a bit of street noise. Again we had a window open so it maybe ok with the windows closed.

very modern and clean room really great. Although advertised as small breakfast it was great and plentiful. We especially liked the welcome drink at reception and the whole hotel was unique and sooo comfy. Good location and despite the noise on the road below, the room was quiet.
Given all the good points, the price was still very disproportionate and I would not stay again because at that rate I would expect four star hotel facilities, gym etc. At a lower rate, well be back.
