Absolutely lovely, spacious rooms with great amenities. The atmosphere of the water tower was truly inspiring. Breakfast was varied and delicious.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
Not all positives though — we were terrified by two fire alarms, one of which went off at 1AM. No explanation, no apology letter, and no gesture of goodwill from the hotel, especially given that fire alarms seem to be a frequent occurrence there.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

If you are a big fan of water towers just as I am, you’d enjoy this place. It preserved a lot of its initial circular structure and atmosphere. One of a kind experience that makes you want to come back. Unfortunately, the terrace is not accessible, so you’ll have to be satisfied with enjoying the view from the room window. I was lucky enough to be accommodated on the 8th floor. There’s a bar on the top floor that is accessible to all—apart from Monday when it’s open for hotel guests exclusively.

I was surprised that my toilet seat was broken, ran out of soap and tissues in the room, so felt like a nice hotel that had been a bit neglected

I disliked having to use a smart device to access the hotel amenities. I missed having a note pad and a comfortable adult sized chair to use the writing desk. I would like the sauna to be accessible during the mornings.

Wonderful
We saw the hotel in a documentary about Andree Putman and that is why we stayed there. Beautiful place and nice rooms with still furniture of Andre Putman in the room. We stayed on the 9th floor with beautiful view on Cologne.
The reception could be improved. They try to help a person before us but the receptionist didn't listen good. And they good have told us there was breakfast in the hotel and which time it was. On the QR quite in the room these details I couldn't find. We where at breakfast at 10:45 and soon it was finished and they could have informed us because we paid a lot for the breakfast.
