I really liked the room. I had booked the Standard Room (1 single bed) for £70 for one night, but to be honest I think they gave me the Comfort Room instead, because the room I stayed in didn’t look like the one in their photos (I’ve attached pictures of the room I had). The location of the hotel is excellent, very well situated close to the city center. The bathroom was quite large and comfortable. I have no complaints about the cleanliness – there was some dust in a few spots, but I believe that’s more due to management giving the cleaners too little time rather than the staff themselves. Other than that, everything was very good. Check-in was very easy – I arrived around midnight and collected my room key from a box outside the hotel. Overall, a good place that I would recommend.
The only thing I found unacceptable was that the window only had a Venetian blind, which means everything happening inside the room could be seen from outside. Please add a proper curtain to give guests more privacy.

The bed mattress was very comfortable, also the staff was very friendly
The room was dirty and very damaged (lacking regular maintenance). Bathroom door frame was falling apart at the place it was touching the floor (water damage) so there was a lot of sawdust falling from it. Wallpapers had leak stains/leak marks on them, even some small died out blood stains (that was the wallpaper right next to my bed (my head). The same situation was on the upholstered headboard right above my head. The carpet seemed vacuumed but it looked like it had never been washed since it was installed.

Very close to downtown.
Could not use shower: very very hot water ( only). The guy at the reception was very unfriendly to another guest and also to me.

Location was perfect and central to everything, train station) cathedral 5 minute walk away plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby.
The place could do with some TLC it's ok if you're after a cheap place to stay as a solo traveler.
