The overall design of the hotel felt quite old-school—almost like staying at my grandmother’s house. There were plenty of hangers in the room, though a few more in the bathroom would have been useful. The hairdryer either wasn’t working or I just couldn’t figure out how to use it. We had no issues with heating. It was quite sufficient. We had breakfast—it wasn’t amazing, but it met the basic standards of a decent hotel meal. The variety of bread was truly excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One evening, when we were feeling slightly unwell, we asked for hot water and cups to make tea, and they provided them without any issue. Despite outside (at Saturday night), the hotel’s interior was very quiet and peaceful. In the mornings, the soothing sound of birds chirping could be heard from inside.
The room was reasonably clean, but the bathroom seemed like an afterthought; it had no real walls, just glass panels, offering zero privacy. The shower didn’t have a door, so everything got wet while using it. As an architect myself, I’m always shocked by the design choices in some hotels. Also, there were four enormous pillows on the bed, and we had no idea where to put them. The room was already tight, and we barely fit ourselves. Please don’t prioritize unnecessary aesthetic details over functionality. On Saturday night, there was some noise from outside entertainment. If we had needed to open the window, it would have been a real issue.

The place was clean.
The rooms are very poorly isolated for sound and the place is next to a bar that had karaoke party until 2am. It was more than just downtown street noise, is full blown party so we couldn't get any sleeps. The staff was extremely rude when we asked for a refund during the night and the next morning again and kept speaking with us in German knowing we only speak English. Probably the worst experience in my 13 years of booking with Booking.

The hotel is conveniently located to the train station, shopping, restaurants and local sightseeing. The room was clean and very comfortable.
The hotel property is older and without air conditioning, so windows needed to be opened at night exposing us to late night party noise on the street below.

It is centrally located. Decent breakfast.
The lady at check-in gave us literally the worst experience ever. It went so far that she tried to convince us that double room means two beds when she gave us the twin room, along with the parking issue, etc. Luckily, her colleague and/or manager was polite and resolved the issues that could have been resolved.
