It is an elegant place, very quiet and comfortable to stay. Our room overlooked the river, so we had a great time there. The breakfast is also marvellous, and the staff are helpful and kind.
I have no complaints. We had a wonderful stay.

The room was really comfortable and the view over the river, lovely. The staff were very friendly and really helpful. The location was very good for the Xmas markets and other city centre activities including cafes and restaurants

Lovely friendly staff. They were so attentive and available 24 hours a day to help. An excellent location for the Christmas markets - Heinzels market with the ice rink is only a ten minute walk away, the chocolate museum market is even closer. Easy 15 minute walk from the main train station Cologne hbf.
There was no kettle in the room that I booked, however the reception staff are available 24 hours a day and will make an assortment of hot drinks for you, served beautifully alongside the amazing Christmas biscuits which were available in the reception area.

The front desk staff was very good and helpful. The room was fine, not too small. I liked that there was a small fridge in the room.
Room could have been cleaner (spider/dust webs in the ceiling and few drops of sth on the toilet seat when I arrived (perhaps it was from someone poring coffee rests from a cup or sth or in worst case piss)). Thick carpet on the floor, which is grabbing a lot of dust, I prefer less dust sucking floor material. My room was not made up two out of 4 mornings although I had placed a "pls clean my room" on the door. That meant that the coffee wasn't refilled either and not new towels those mornings. I even ran out of toilet paper and hand tissues the last morning. The internet was not stable and sometimes went very low in speed (although Germany is really lacking behind on internet connections and that might just be the reason, Germany is like 10 years behind at least on internet). But the demand today is a super fast and trouble free internet.
