Wonderful
Great location. 10 min walk to cathedral so close enough to see the sites but out of the way of the crowds. The staff were really accommodating. There’s a little playground a couple of blocks away so great if you have small kids.

The hotel was conveniently located less than a 10 min walk from the train station and Cathedral. There are some really nice restaurants with a 3 or 4 min walk of the hotel with a supermarket about 3 mins. The Rheine promenade is only a few minutes walk also. The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely with a good choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the hotel as our overall experience was excellent.

It was only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Cologne, the Cathedral and restaurants
The room was a good size and the bed comfortable
We had to keep asking for tea bags and milk..!! They obviously didn’t cater often for English guests who don’t drink coffee.
The bed was not made daily…. I don’t mind using the same towels for 2 days in a row, but if I’m paying to stay in a hotel, I do like to have my bed made daily….!

Very large room with lots of space and king size bed. Close to the station and easy to explore Cologne from here.
We were on 5th floor - one flight of stairs without elevator and the bathroom roof was sloped so not comfortable to shower (I’m 5”8). But this wouldn’t stop me staying here again.

Without a doubt, the hotel looks great. It has that old town look to it, so if you're looking for that sort of vibe it's great for it. The location is also not too bad, just 10 min walk to the central station. The bed and pillows were also fantastic, they were really comfortable to sleep on. The room was quite spacious too.
My biggest complaint about this hotel is with the noise. The soundproofing for a hotel at this rate is absolutely underwhelming. I had noises from upstairs, from outside, every time someone walks or move something I could hear it. This includes sound from outside the building too, which is surprising, since the windows were completely shut.

Only one office chair in the room. Nowhere to sit together.
Strange to have visible a restaurant but no access in the evening to get a drink.

The second room once we were allocated a suitable room after three days. Bathroom drains smelt awful.
The standard double room was below basic, no mirror in the room, lack of electrical sockets, really bad smelly drains. Very poor value for money even at Christmas.

Hotel is in good location. Friendly , helpful staff.Large rooms and spotlessly clean.
Coffee machine in restaurant was far too slow causing waits of over 20 minutes. Water for tea was supplied from the coffee machine as well causing for delays to get a hot drink at breakfast.
The last day of our stay the Hotel did supply a hot water urn which will help future guests get hot water seperate of the Really slow coffee machine.

Overall, we had a comfortable stay at the hotel we booked in Cologne for the weekend.
The location was convenient, about 600–700 meters from the Dom. Our room was airy and clean, and although the heating was not constant, it warmed up quickly once we returned to the room.
Breakfast was varied enough, but the biggest downside was having only one machine for both coffee and hot water.
Considering the busy season — which is something the hotel can easily anticipate when opening reservations — long queues formed, making it quite difficult to enjoy tea or coffee during breakfast. Something as simple as providing an additional hot water dispenser could have helped prevent this issue.
There was also no daily room cleaning.
Even though we requested it with a note on the door, the service was not provided. While we understand that towels don’t need to be changed every day, there should at least be a place to hang and dry them; since there wasn’t, we ended up reusing damp towels.
These are small things, but it’s good to be prepared for them before your stay.

Our room was very large and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was large although the shower was in the bath with quite a high step to get in so may be a problems for those less mobile. Little to no noise from other rooms as we were at the end of a corridor. The breakfast was extensive and staff accommodated my wife's' gluten and dairy intolerances.
Underfloor heating was mentioned but our bathroom didn't appear to have that. If anything the room was actually too big with a lot of unused space. The safe was small but large enough for passports, money, and jewellery. We could not find any English speaking channels on the TV but that's not a big deal as we spent little time in the room.

The location was central. 10 minutes walk to the central station. The room was quite spacious and all the staff were very police and helpful
