From the first moment at front office to the room the staff was extremely helpfull, room is large and clean. The location of the hotel is 2 minutes walk from Hbf and Dom. Breakfast has too many choices.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. It was an easy walk to the Cathedral and the area had a ton of food options. There is paid parking on site!

The location is great, at 200 mts from the HBF and the cathedral.
The breakfast buffet is also amazing, you can choose whatever you want and have plenty of variety.
The gym is very well equipped and open 24h

Room was nice size, bed comfortable, location superb. Parking right next to it was a real bonus. Staff was very friendly. It was truely excellent.

Early in the morning we arrived the hotel as family. Location was perfect

We reserved a deluxe room with a view and it exceeded expectations! The hotel was clean and elegant. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room had tall ceilings and windows with a view of the Cologne Cathedral. The windows actually opened, allowing fresh air and the sound of the Cathedral bells to enter our room.
Not much. The room was a bit pricey but it was to be expected the week before Christmas and the hotel is very close to the cathedral and Christmas markets. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location, staff very helpful. Enjoyed restaurant and breakfast.
Our room was ridiculously hot (up to 28.5 degrees). Turning off heating and leaving window open was the only solution (not isolated to our room as staff knew how to fix). Window open all the time meant it got too cold so needed to be shut at some point.

Close proximity to the Cathedral and the Christmas markets and the main train station.
More expensive than the other hotels around the area. We wanted to try the breakfast buffet (we love the one in Stockholm) but it was very expensive!

Room service was slow and a lot of items weren’t available. Room’s phone didn’t work well at all. There was a smell of sewage coming from the toilet.

The Hilton Cologne is very close to the main station which is convenient if arriving by train. The room was spotless and quite comfortable and a cot for our baby was provided upon request. Room service also arrived quickly and was very satisfactory.
When we arrived there was a long queue to check in and the check in process was unnecessarily slow without an explanation. The central lobby is not especially welcoming for a hotel and arriving at a queue is not the experience we had first hoped for. The card authorization process for our stay was completely illogical and I've not encountered this type of charging before (pre authorization for a night plus 50 when booking then again when you check in which will be returned at some indeterminate time with the cost of the stay also being charged at a later date after check in). This was inconvenient and quite strange. The worst part of our stay was at night when another group unlocked our room door with their room key. Luckily I had the bolt on so they couldn't walk in (our baby was sleeping) but it was a massive security risk and could have been much worse. I had to complain to the front desk twice because our key cards did not work after that. You expect a base level of safety when you stay at any hotel, especially one as established as Hilton. You don't expect another guest to be able to unlock your door at night. We cut our stay short and went elsewhere after this.

Location
Very unfriendly staff, worn out room, bed and pillow not comfortable, hygiene is questionable. The only time the staff gave a slight smile was only when they asked for a tip. For what we paid, and for a Hilton brand, this is one of the worst hotel we have stayed in.
