location is good. rooms are ok. prices hiked for the exhibition and breakfast at 18 euro is crazy when there are perfectly good cafes in the station
by and large ok apart from one young gentleman behind the reception who was massively over officious and rude. at one point I was the only person on reception. being of a certain age I took a call and put on speakerphone (I wouldn’t if anyone else had been around ). I am pounced on by this gentleman to either use my headphones or move outside. ok. I let that go. however on returning after dinner to go back to my room having walked past a full reception areas to go to the lift. I am once again pounced on. he leaves a customer in mid sentence to question my right to be there. I showed him my room key and he said “ we have to check “. well given 90 minutes previously he’d told me off for my phone useage I found that hard to believe. so won’t be staying again for that reason

Breakfast room needs more staff . Breakfast was not ready by 7 .
The person in attendance was most unfriendly, did not greet guests - not even a smile.

Very close to train station and therefore close to grocery store/bakery/coffee places within the station. Cut through the station to get to the cathedral.
Very good wifi. 24 hour front desk.
No air conditioning. If you open windows to get some air, the street is quite noisy

The hotel is located right next to the train station. The reception was very helpful finding us a good place to eat, even after a late arrival. The room was facing the train station but the windows blocked the noise very well.
The storage space for luggage was insufficient to accommodate us. The room was quite warm (summer time) and apparently impossible to cool down without opening the window, exposing us to the noise of the train station.

The hotel is right next to the central train station which makes access to public transport and 24/7 grocery stores very easy. The hotel room also offered one of the best showers I've had in Cologne.
While the closeness to the train station is a big plus, it can also be too noisy at times. While it didn't bother me much, it might be a negative aspect for some.

It’s very convenient right next to train and centre of town and all main attractions

We stayed one night as we were travelling on in the early hours and needed a stopover near the station, we couldn’t have been any closer! The view from the window was the train station and Cathedral which was amazing and relatively quiet. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, even letting us know the best places to eat at! We packed a lot in and everything was a few minutes away, shops, Cathedral, hop on hop off bus, etc. The breakfast was lovely and there was a good selection for all. Would stay there again.
I liked the property and have no issues.
