Convenient to cathedral and christmas markets, hotel was great, restaurant downstairs was good, shop is nice, lighted tree was a nice touch.. We could see cathedral and christmas market from out room.
Pillows were flat and shower was dark, but otherwise good.

The I stayed at Eden Hotel Früh am Dom from 16–21 November and absolutely loved the location. Being just steps away from the cathedral and the city center made my stay exceptional. The hotel is perfectly placed for both sightseeing and enjoying Cologne.
I enjoyed my stay, but the breakfast variety was a bit limited and didn’t change much from day to day. I also noticed an unpleasant smell in the bathroom that couldn’t be resolved during my stay. Aside from these small issues, the team was always kind and helpful.

Fantastic location with a beautiful view of the Cathedral and Christmas Market. Staff was great, and we also enjoyed proximity to the brew haus!
Construction in the area made it a bit noisy in the early morning.

The room was spotless, comfortable, quiet, and perfectly located for visiting the cathedral and major museums.
Clean, quiet rooms such as this aren't hard to find in Germany but they are usually cheaper than this, even in Berlin or Munich. The lonely picture on the wall promotes the hotel beer--not bad if you're into that, I suppose, but to me it felt relentless. All of this said, I don't blame the hotel for charging what it does. There seems to be a shortage of hotels in Cologne and I think there were a lot of conventions happening the week we were there.

The location of Eden hotel is perfect if you are doing Cologne at speed. A five minute walk from the main station and in the shadow of the Cathedral. Very close to the amazing Museum Ludwig.
Room at the side of the hotel has lots of buzz with people taking pictures of the Pixies Fountain that is just outside
Room (Double with Dom view) is a good size. Big comfortable bed. light and bright with window that opens. Plenty of storage.
The Wi-Fi is just terrible. To the point that there is no point trying to use the hotel hotspot. You'll need data.
Couple of chairs in reception but nowhere to wait for transfers etc
Breakfast - arrived at 9am (finishes at 10am) and things not being replenished. No pastries, yogurt running out, limited bread selection. Great to avoid food waste but needs to be managed better.
Wasn't aware there would be a beer theme in the room. Well, throughout the hotel - which is attached to the Fruh shop and bar

Nice location near the main train station and cathedral. The room was clean and well appointed.
It looks modern and the floors are solid, but why are the walls so thin?!! I heard a guy snoring all night and then conversation at 6:AM. Crazy!

The toilet brush can be relocated to a lower postion. It was my knee hight and too close to me. I felt like smell was approaching to me though it did not smell.

Good spacious room, very good breakfast. Staff helpful with city directions. Excellent location, a few minutes from the Dom and Hauptbahnhof.
Building works nearby meant a poor view but no big problem.

Staff was friendly and helpful, location is great, very close to the dome but also just 15 minutes walk from the conference center. Central train station is a 5 minutes walk.
The internet is basically useless. Staff knows about it, they even let me change rooms so I at least have a connection, but even if the connection is stable, the speed isn't enough for more than simple web browsing.
The room was mostly clean, but only in places where you look, top shelfs and corners not so much.
At the time of this review there is a construction site next to the hotel, impossible to sleep after 6am even by closed windows, but I did get a warning about this in an automated mail after I booked the room.

The best thing about Eden Hotel Früh am Dom is its location—it's unbeatable. Being right next to the Cologne Cathedral, and a short walk from both the river and the main train station, makes it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. We also appreciated the free coffee and hot chocolate available in the lobby.
However, our stay was significantly impacted by the loud construction happening right next door. We were unable to keep our window open due to the noise, and even with it closed, the sound was quite disruptive. To make matters worse, the workers could see directly into our room, which eliminated any sense of privacy. While the hotel did inform us of the construction in advance, we had no idea it would be so loud and intrusive. The hotel also lacked air conditioning, and we had to request a fan from the reception, where the front desk staff were not particularly helpful. The location is perfect, but the noise and lack of cooling made our stay uncomfortable.
