Pleasant
The best thing about Eden Hotel Früh am Dom is its location—it's unbeatable. Being right next to the Cologne Cathedral, and a short walk from both the river and the main train station, makes it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. We also appreciated the free coffee and hot chocolate available in the lobby.
However, our stay was significantly impacted by the loud construction happening right next door. We were unable to keep our window open due to the noise, and even with it closed, the sound was quite disruptive. To make matters worse, the workers could see directly into our room, which eliminated any sense of privacy. While the hotel did inform us of the construction in advance, we had no idea it would be so loud and intrusive. The hotel also lacked air conditioning, and we had to request a fan from the reception, where the front desk staff were not particularly helpful. The location is perfect, but the noise and lack of cooling made our stay uncomfortable.

Very noisy room, racket all night long outside on the streets which was hardly filtered out even with closed windows. Hardly got any sleep. Steep price for the room.

Breakfast was adequate. Location good for station with interesting restaurant and brewery attached. Nice views of cathedral but lots of building around so also scaffolding.
Breakfast variety not great . Had to ask for extra pillows but then too much! City centre location convenient but can be noisy at night.

The location is excellent, as it is very close to the train station.
The hotel was very uncomfortable. There was no air conditioning in the room, and it was extremely hot. The hotel provided a fan, but even with that, my stay was not comfortable at all.

Quilts with no lighter options. We had to ask for a top sheet on a warm night with no fan or air conditioning. Staff were confused but accommodating once they understood.

The perfect location in Cologne, easily walkable to all sights and convenient to the train station too. Great hotel, spacious and clean. Sockets by the beds for convenience. Kind and attentive hotel staff. Great breakfast each morning. No issues at all.
