The location couldn't have been better. Easy walk to the cathedral and all the events surrounding the cathedral. Easy walk down to the river and that's another beautiful walk. With windows closed, none of the event noises disturbed peace and quiet in the room. The best restaurants are next to the hotel. We traveled by train from Frankfurt and the Cologne train station is an easy walk from there. No hassles from figuring out subways or renting a car. No added uber expense.

Location is very central. 5 minute walk from the train station. Room was of a good size with plenty of storage. Bathroom was a good size with plenty of towels and shower gel provided.
Room was noisy. No fault of the hotel. But when it starts at 7am and very loud. It's not what you really want. Although a bottle of water is provided in the room . I would have liked a tea or coffee option. Free tea and coffee is available in reception.

Nice hotel with a perfect location right in the heart of the city, just a short walk from the Dom and within walking distance of Cologne Central Station. Very convenient for exploring the area. Don’t miss the chance to try the famous Früh beer downstairs , a great local experience.
Daily same food menu . Need some more varieties in breakfast.

Fantastic location, with a stunning view of the Cathedral. Very helpful staff. A free tea/coffee machine in the foyer.
The mattress was very hard, only one pillow which was very soft. The room was next to the lift, which seemed to be used until 1a.m. and started again from about 5.30. The shower was quite difficult to access.

Excellent location for visiting the centre of Cologne. Although our room looked out across a lively bar/ beer keller, the rooms triple glazing made it possible to shut out the noise. The beds were very comfortable.
Only a minor comment that the shower was very compact an do a little tricky to get in and out of.

Great location. (No noise from building site as mentioned by others). Close to Dom (could see it from window) and rail station but also alte Stadt with bars and restaurants and the river Rhine. Ideal for our purpose- a one night stay on a rail holiday. Good breakfast.

We stayed in spacious family room with very comfortable bathroom. Everything was great, except the noise from the outside. But the truth is that lots of spots in the city center of Cologne is under construction for many years already and if you want to stay next to Dom, so just be patient to some noise. The view from the breakfast room worth the whole visit.

Perfect location, varied breakfast, peacefull neigbourhood despite the proximity of the cathedral and the pedestrian zone.
Although the owner of the hotel is obviously a well-known German brewery, huge beer advertisements as decoration in the room completely spoil the impression of the neighborhood in which the hotel is located. We stayed in a room for three people and one of us slept on a folding sofa that creaked so much that no one got much sleep. They should seriously consider renovating the bathroom too because a hotel in such a beautiful location with a view of the cathedral deserves much, much more.
