The location of this hotel is great, it's opposite the Dom and easy walking distance to everything. The rooms are very basic, no real design / decorations and no air conditioning, but this did not worry us and the room temperature was comfortable. The staff at reception were all lovely and the breakfast was great.
The pillows in the room were really flat and when we asked for extra pillow we were told there was none available. We ended folding up our bath towels and using them under our pillows.

The location. It’s close to the Cologne HBF and the Döm for the main Christmas market. There’s also a nice coffee station at the reception.
Now on to the bad. The WiFi did not work. As an international traveler, I rely on WiFi to stay connected. The windows were open when I arrived so the room was cold and it stayed cold the entire time. It was so loud. I could hear outside. It was loud well into the night. I don’t understand why they don’t have better windows. I could also hear through the “walls”. They only give one pillow per person, thankfully it was just me so I used both pillows. The toilet wouldn’t flush properly, I didn’t bother bcos I knew I was only staying a night and couldn’t wait to leave. Not worth almost €200 a night.

The property hosts a rooftop dance club that blasts techno music until late in the night. Two floors below and it was so loud it is impossible to sleep
