Disappointing
Die Lage des Hotels ist vermutlich einer der Hauptgründe für die Buchung. Sie ist ideal für Besuche der Messe sowie der Lanxess Arena und bietet eine sehr gute Anbindung. Aufgrund der zentralen Lage ist es jedoch nicht sehr ruhig. Der Fitnessbereich kostet 6 € Aufpreis pro Aufenthalt. Hinweis war vor der Buchung nicht ersichtlich. Der Preis selbst ist fair, bei den Zimmerpreisen wäre eine inklusive Nutzung jedoch wünschenswert gewesen. Das Personal war insgesamt freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Normalerweise buchen wir ein anderes Hotel in der Umgebung, das diesmal leider ausgebucht war. Für über 600 € für drei Nächte bekommt man hier leider nicht das, was man bei diesem Preis erwarten würde. Das Hotel ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und lebt aus meiner Sicht hauptsächlich noch von seiner guten Lage. Eine umfassende Renovierung wäre durchaus angebracht. Die Zimmer wirken stark veraltet, Möbel und Fliesen erinnern eher an die 90er-Jahre. Besonders enttäuschend war das Badezimmer: Die Dusche besteht aus einer Badewanne mit einer sehr einfachen Brause. Immerhin ließ sich die Wassertemperatur gut einstellen. Für größere Personen ist das Duschen allerdings alles andere als komfortabel. Auf der Webseite wird mit einer hoteleigenen Garage geworben, Wortlaut "Hotelgarage". Tatsächlich handelt es sich jedoch um ein öffentliches Parkhaus mit einem Hotelbereich, den man sich u.a. unter anderem mit einer Mietwagenfirma teilt. Die dafür verlangten 38 € pro Tag empfinde ich als deutlich zu teuer. Auch beim Frühstück waren wir überrascht: 29 € pro Person fanden wir schlicht überzogen, weshalb wir darauf verzichtet haben.

Calm and quiet area, good bar, very helpful staff.
29 EUR per person for breakfast is just to much. Several good alternatives in walking distance on Deutzer Freiheit.

Great location, lovely clean room and bathroom. Room was very spacious. Allowed early check-in for free which is always lovely. Reccomend to anyone coming to stop.

My room was clean and spacious. The hotel itself was lovely and looked, for lack of a better word, quite fancy. I loved it. The location was excellent. There's a tram stop right outside and a train station city and regional trains within a 10-15 minute walk. I was there for a concert at the Lanxess Arena, and that was also just a 10-15 min stroll away. I actually booked the hotel mainly for its location and reasonable price and was delighted with just how luxurious my stay was. I definitely think I got more than I paid for! Staff were always lovely, and room service arrived promptly. Now for a subject I am truly passionate about; hotel breakfast! A lot of people seem to not like them or prefer to seek out their own breakfasts when on holiday, but personally I think they are an integral part of the hotel experience and often a delight. And oh boy did this one deliver! The selection was excellent, tied for the largest I have encountered. The quality of the items was mostly very good too. It perhaps wasn't the highest quality hotel breakfast I have ever had, but never before have I encountered one which such high quality and such a large selection. Highlights for me include the eggs, which were done 4 ways every morning, all of which were good. The omelettes were standouts for me though. The sweet baked goods were also great and never had that staleness you sometimes see at buffets. The tea was good too, high quality silk sachets, as good as you can get from anything that isn't loose leaf. The one letdown were the fruit juices. They were that watered concentrate crap you expect, which was a shame, but it does seem to be an industry standard. All in all that is a tiny nitpick though. I definitely think this a top three hotel breakfast contender for me!
There was a slight hint of an unpleasant odor, but not something worth complaining about. I think it was simply cigarette smoke from smokers outside. Obviously not the hotel's fault. I asked staff to make a note of it for me so I do not get charged for the odor removal, which has happened to me at a previous location with a similar issue. They did so and there was no problem.

Good location to the venue I needed, room was quite big and nice, comfortable. Room service was good, enjoyed the baked potatoes and a pizza. Check in and check out was a good experience.
The bathtub is quite high, so stepping in and out was a bit uncomfortable, with fear of slipping. There weren't many places to hold onto.
