The people at reception could be better equipped to operate the system and track the payments and charges towards the room. I had to pay extra for one night and the money has still not be reversed to my credit card account yet.

Perfectly located close to the centre of the city and the main train station including the cathedral, restaurants, the Rhine river and shopping areas. There is a taxi stand just outside the hotels door which was very convenient.

We had a wonderful stay. The location was excellent, and the cleanliness, staff, and facilities were all of a very high standard. Everything was well maintained, comfortable, and made for a very enjoyable experience. I was very happy with my stay and would definitely recommend it.
Just one small disappointment during our stay. Before arriving, I called the hotel to explain that we would be arriving late and that we were celebrating a special occasion. I asked whether the bar would be open, and I was told that it would already be closed at that time.
I therefore asked if it would be possible to arrange a small piece of cake with a candle and a bottle of Prosecco in our room, at my expense. I was told that the cake would not be possible, but that the Prosecco would be left in the room complimentary as a gesture for the special occasion.
Unfortunately, nothing was prepared in the room when we arrived. I realise that I made the mistake of not asking for the name of the employee who made this arrangement, so I had no way of following up on it.
What was also disappointing was that we were not told that there was a 24-hour shop in the hotel where we could have purchased a bottle of Prosecco and some sweets ourselves. We only discovered the shop the following morning. As a result, we were unable to celebrate the occasion as we had planned.
It was only a small part of our stay, but better communication about the available options would have made a big difference.

Nice spacious room for three of us with 3 spacious beds. Enough comfortable space left even after the third bed which is rare to get. The staff were alert enough to make provision for 3 persons not only for things like towels but also coffee cups and other amenities that are often missed with odd occupancy. Excellent food and great service. Could not be more conveniently located from the main station.
Be careful of the seasonal vegetable soup - it switches from hot soup to cold soup from day to day without warning! Taste is excellent once you get over the surprise. Soap and shower gels have a woody fragrance that was too strong for my liking.

The room is spacious. I would say well-equipped to our need. The breakfast is excellent. The location is superb, being at walking distance to the central train station of Cologne.
There are steps going down to the reception area. It would be better to have a ramp to navigate down if one has heavy luggage. One of the lifts is not working during our stay and it took a while to go up and down (with one working lift)

Great location. The breakfast offering was amazing, a large variety of food. The premises was very clean and modern.
I didn't like the front revolving door... That's about it.

The hotel is close to the Cathedral, City Centre and pedestian area but is easily accessed by car and the hotel has it's own secure underground car park (although maneouvering is tight between the pillars). Arriving in August, the air conditioning was an essential for our trip and very welcome. The staff were very efficient and friendly and the breakfast selection and service was excellent. Although only an overnight stay on our drive to Southern Germany we would have happily stayed longer and used it as a base to explore Cologne
