Location was just right. Not a noisy neigjnorhood
AIRCON was not working since we arrived until we checked out (4D/3N). We were provided an electric fan as solution. ROOM and BATHROOM lack the basics (no slippers, no toiletries) as if it was hurriedly prepared when we arrived. BREAKFAST always the same, everyday.

Close to train station, Rhein river and old town
First: air conditioning was not functioning. It was set up but considered an extra, and they would not consider changing rooms (but they provided a fan on request, which they had to retrieve from the basement and was covered in dust)…without it, room would have been unbearable! Second: awful sewage smell from shower…not really sure what was going on there?! We were in the old part of the hotel, so maybe the newer part would offer a better experience! Staff was pretty friendly, so there’s that.

Brilliant location, walking distance to everywhere you'd want to see around the city, shops,bars and restaurants close by, zoo only 30 minutes walk away

Disappointing
Air con wasn’t working in the room. Only 1 room key provided so we were unable to leave items on charge. A wedding was happening and the music was very loud up until 11pm. At €352 (excluding breakfast) we felt it was overpriced.

- Staff were really friendly. - The hotel was placed in the centre of the city so it was really easy to get to places. - The check out time was midday, which was excellent as we liked to experience the nightlife. - The bed was large and comfy. Usually I suffer with a bad neck, especially when I don’t have my pillow but I didn’t get neck pain once. I also liked it that my boyfriend and I got a duvet each so we didn’t have to fight for warmth in the night.
- No tea caddy. - The lock of our bedroom door would stick so it would take several attempts to get into our room. However, we never brought this up with staff. - The room was quite small and there was no door to the bathroom itself so if I wanted to go to the toilet or shower while my partner was asleep, he just got a light on his face. There was also quite a bit of furniture packed in the room, so having two suitcases was a squeeze. - We saw a silverfish in the room and two fruit flies appeared when we had no food in the room and there was a bit of a smell like drains when we would walk in, but again we never brought this up with staff. While these are negatives, overall we had a positive experience there. So while negatives, it shouldn’t stop people from going there because I think the positives out weigh the negatives

Large, comfortable room and spacious bathroom. Convenient location for railway station in a quite street. A good price for the area.
There was a lot of noise from a neighbouring bedroom, which I mentioned at reception when checking out. I imagine this is very unusual (and of course I should have gone to reception during the night, and they would have dealt with it). Everything else was fine.

Very clean, beautiful decoration, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff
I thought it was close to the Hauptbahnhof, you actually have to walk a long way to get there by foot. And the access to the hotel from the city center can feel a bit unsafe at night.
