Wonderful
This well located hotel boasts access to all of Cologne while been quiet enough to allow for a good night’s rest. Breakfast is filling and the rooms (especially ones with a balcony) are clean and modern without feeling generic.

The hotel is decorated with original art! Number 12 is a large, luxurious and well-appointed suite, one floor above the ground floor. It has a big, comfortable bed; so many windows; a cute little balcony; a huge bathtub in one bathroom and a separate shower in another one, where the toilet is (sinks in both); a table that could seat eight; and a couch/sofa bed. There's a stocked bar-fridge, an electric kettle and a coffee-maker. All the windows open, which is great; and personally, we found the windows when closed were very good at blocking the sound of the revellers on the café patio in the evenings. It was way more hotel room than we needed, but we wanted to stay at the Chelsea again, and that week, #12 was the only unit free -- a nice treat!

Comfy bed. Fridge in room. Nice furnishings. Good neighborhood. Did not feel touristy.
It was very cold. Radiator supplied to help heat the room. Using radiator creates very dry air. Did not like shared bath because hallways were drafty. It is an unusually cold winter.

If you are there for the UA passport, the hotel is more than perfect :) But if you are not, the location is also totally fine.

The bathroom although shared was very clean and nice. There was a nice grocery store right across the street.
It was too far for walking downtown and my room was tiny, the room overlooked the back of the building. Not really their fault but it was rather expensive for the room to be so tiny with a twin bed…. Still I guess because it’s köln

The location is perfect, close to university and city center. the bed was really confortable and the curtain darkened properly the room.
The second night I had trouble sleeping because of the noise from the neighboring room in the middle of the night. Internet was pretty slow.

Stylish hotel in a trendy part of town. Supermarket right across the street.
small suite was an exercise in sparseness. Downstairs space presented two plastic chairs, no sofa/sofabed, no curtains - just blinds. Electrical systems a perpetual mystery, and bathroom down on the first floor, bed up on the second. I told the front desk I was lightly disabled, but no option presented for a single-level room.

Nice comfy bed and quiet room. The shared balcony was nice and quiet, too .A parking space was arranged for me thanks to a last-minute cancellation, which I appreciate, as narrow as it was - my car was parked safely in a gated court very nearby.
The living/sitting area was rather small, but the bedroom upstairs was nice and roomy. The choice at breakfast was underwhelming, but it was offered to me for free when I mentioned it at check-out, which I also appreciate.

Very comfortable and clean room. Firm mattress. Spacious bathroom. Great location in walking distance to grocery store, cafés, restaurants, public transportation. Friendly staff at the front desk.

The individuality of the space and the central location, the restaurant and the friendly staff
The central location was also a little lively and noisy on weekend nights. This ended around midnight and wasn't too bad, but might bother some.
