Location wasn't too far from the centre
Was very noisy we were on the ground floor, disturbed all night, both nights. Did raise with reception and told we were wrong it wasn't noisy. Room was so hot despite turning off heating and opening window. Due to location opening window meant being further disturbed by noise of barrels/people. Quite dated While it's unfortunate because a few of the reception staff were nice there was one that just wasn't and extremely rude. Check in was a nightmare each of our 3 children had to fill in a form as an extra guest took ages. We've stayed in various places around Germany for the last week. This was the worse and yet most expensive

Decent breakfast
During my 4-day stay at this hotel, I got what appear to be bedbug bites on more than ten spots on my body. I’ve traveled extensively for years, but I’ve never experienced anything like this before.

Nice clean room. Easy walking distance to river and cathedral. We only planned an afternoon in Cologne as part of a bigger road trip so this place was ideally situated.

Location is great.
Was a problem with parking because I expected car park in the hotel or by the hotel but receptionist said there is an option to park my car 700m from the hotel for 15 eur/per day. There is no parking in the hotel. Room was clean but beds and furniture are old.
