Very basic hotel, small rooms, but clean and excellent location in the heart of Cologne, close to all amenities - very convenient for our visit to the Christmas markets! Exceptionally helpful & friendly staff. Decent continental breakfast, not much choice, but what they do have is good and sufficient to start the day! Ideal for a short no frills stay, a place to just get your head down for the night as there are no facilities, not even a bar.
No bar. Lift extremely old & unreliable, can only fit one or 2 people or a large item of luggage, so had to keep climbing the stairs. Definitely not recommended from an accessibility point of view nor for young families. Overpriced for a very basic hotel - it is a very good 2 star, definitely not 3 star. A Premier Inn is superior.

It s close to the city centre. The personnel was nice, it was clean and there is someone at night.
The single room was very very small, it was cold (I get cold easily). The noise made by people in the hotel was easily heard.

The position is really top: at few meters from the central train station. The city center is just at the other side of the station. The staff is friendly and we found someone in the reception 24h, this is nice for a small hotel. Breakfast is really basic but perfect for its price!! I strongly recommend to get it.
The room was small for 3 people and were no places where to put our things. For just two days we were able to survive but for a longer stay or a family trip it would be impossible. The room was old but clean. The pillow was a nightmare for me. I have never seen in my life such a small elevator :) it is sufficient for 1 person in a good shape. Robust people should plan to get the stairs...

Beautiful hotel. Modern, comfortable, friendly. 12 minutes walking distance from Marienplatz. Just five minutes for the main train station. Breakfast very good.
