This unique hotel is located in a building with six floors which was once Europe’s tallest building. The Premier Inn Köln City Mediapark offers spacious rooms. Located on the upper parking floors of the Saturn parking garage with direct access to the hotel. Please note that there is no step-free access from the parking deck to the hotel. Wheelchair users are kindly asked to use the disabled parking space on the ground floor of the car park and enter the hotel via the main entrance. Set in the historic Hansahochhaus high-rise building from 1925, the Premier Inn Köln City Mediapark features many original style elements. The bright rooms include modern furnishings, satellite TV, air conditioning, a desk and private bathroom. The hotel offers great public transport connections by S-Bahn (suburban train) and U-Bahn (underground). It is 1 stop from Cologne Cathedral and Cologne Main Station, and also offers direct links to Cologne/Bonn Airport. Guests enjoy free WiFi.

It was close to the station and the centre of cologne It was clean there was a bar that was nice happy Hours 5-7pm They also had luggage storage lockers
You could hear the trains but it was a bonus being close to the station

Both the room and the bathroom were massive and clean. Also very very quiet.
The handle of the bath needs to be fixed but it was not a massive issue for me

Disappointing
The only positive aspect was the luggage storage facility, which was quite useful.
The reception staff were not welcoming at all. When we requested a missing bath towel, they insisted it was already in the room and turned a simple request into a major hassle. We shouldn't have had to waste energy on such a basic thing. On top of that, one of the elevators was out of service during our stay. The room itself was missing basic amenities: there was no mini-fridge, no telephone to call reception, and no complimentary drinks/water. I strongly advise thinking twice before booking a room here.

They let me check in a little bit earlier. It is a big help for people doing daily trips as we don’t want to spend the whole day walking, exploring with all of our bags.
The room did not look like as on the pictures. Very old, and smelled like someone was smoking there for years. (I’m a non-smoker)

The room was nice, comfortable bed. Tee was provided in the room. Breakfast was great.
The hallway smelled bad. The room was cold, even though i switched off the AC.

We have to ask tell to rexeption to clean the room. Even when we asked them to clean it, they only changed the towels and didn’t make the beds. There were no toiletries in the bathroom, no slippers, and no refrigerator in the room.
