Overall, the location is nice and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
However, I was quite shocked to discover that the room had no usable window. The window was completely sealed from the outside with plastic due to renovation work, and we were not informed about this in advance. There were four people in the room, and because of the poor ventilation, the temperature was very high and the smell was extremely unpleasant. I was unable to sleep at all during the night and eventually had to leave the hotel in the middle of the night.
In addition, housekeeping did not respect guests’ privacy. They entered the room while people were sleeping and made loud noises, without caring whether guests were awake or not. This was strange and unacceptable.
Overall, this was my personal experience. I would advise anyone planning to stay at this hotel to check the room conditions carefully before booking. On the positive side, the prices are reasonable.

The hotel’s location is excellent and very convenient.
Common areas—including the lobby and elevator—were consistently dirty, and other guests were loud late into the night. I reported both issues, but staff were uninterested and did not take action to clean or manage the noise. The service felt unfriendly, and guests were inconsiderate.

Decent stay, close to a beautiful garden and a lake that takes you to the station, easy to reach the main markets, the second dorm room was a bit cramped, but good staff, and walkable to places
Too many beds in that six dorm room, some of the people on the road outside were not friendly

Great location. Within walking distance to all the Christmas Markets in Cologne. Close to grocery stores, good restaurants, and the city sites.
The parking situation is less than stellar. The hotel is situated in an area where the roads are narrow. Current construction on the property made the situation worst. We parked overnight at a nearby Rewe for a €30 and walked over to the hotel. Breakfast was not worth the price.

Great location. The room itself was fairly priced, even if everything else there is overpriced. The room was also cleaned very well before arrival. The overall staff was very helpful, minus one employee. Overall it was a fairly comfortable stay, and while there is room for improvement, I would probably return if the room was still priced the same as this stay.
Everything they sell is overpriced; the food, laundry machines, vending machines, etc. 12 USD to do a load of laundry, around 4 USD for a small bottle of water, around 15 USD for a mediocre breakfast. Go to the laundromat 10 min walk away, get water at Penny, and eat breakfast at Edika or BackWerk.
The shower doors didnt seal well, so the floor flooded when showering. Also, the water temp changes frequently while in use.
