Wonderful
The hosts were friendly and gave good sightseeing and wine tasting tips. Really nice breakfasts in a communal setting with other guests. Gorgeous, well cared for landscaping.
The narrow drive entrance from the street was a little anxiety provoking in our rental car but we made it just fine and didn't scrape (multiple times). This doesn't diminish the recommendation for Pension Schneider.

We have no complaints about the apartment. Everything was clean and beautiful. The view is wonderful. Only the way to get to the apartment was very tiring for two old ladies.

A lovely B&B situated off the main road, but welll located near town and walkable to attractions. Very good breakfast in a nice room with beautiful views of the hills, castle, and gardens. Small fridge in the room was a nice surprise. Unusual bathroom situation, with pieces spread all around the room. Sink located near the door at the end of the bed, shower was next to the bed, separated only by a half curtain. The toilet was in a room with a door. It worked for a one night stay. The room was spacious and clean. Parking was a plus in this area! Host was quite serious.
Whoever was washing/showering in the room woke the other because of the bathroom setup.

About 20 min walking from the town centre. Couldn’t get a cab from the train station and there was no information about buses.

The hosts are very polite and friendly. Very nice and large room. The breakfast was delicious, plenty of food and drinks. Very confy beds. I would return.
The entrance on the alley where the house is located is very narrow, in a 90⁰ angle so one should be very careful entering/exiting the alley with a big car. However, this is not a blame for the pension, this is the city 's topography.

Disappointing
Mr. Schneider, who takes care of the yard was very friendly and helpful with securing a dinner reservation.
The breakfast was also nice but a guest coughed twice on the cheese and when we mentioned it to Mrs. Schneider she shrugged it off. We said the guest could have Covid and she responded that no one has Covid anymore and that it was a smokers cough. Point of fact, my son, daughter in law and granddaughter all had Covid for the first time two weeks ago. As Mrs. Schneider did not replace the cheeses we hope that none of her guests subsequently became ill.
Mrs. Schneider was not friendly nor easy to speak with. We had to leave early this morning, and we asked her if she could give us two rolls instead of waiting for breakfast to begin. She flatly refused. The rolls were 10' away from us and already on the table. Would it have hurt to hand us two rolls? Awful customer service.
Yesterday, my wife and I asked if soap or shampoo would be provided, and she scolded us saying, "This is a pension, NOT a hotel!" Again, so rude. We travel extensively and rarely encounter a hostess as rude and unkind as Mrs. Schneider.

Absolutely delicious breakfast, in a lovely breakfast room with gorgeous view of the castle. Clean and large room with good facilities. Really friendly welcome and helpful staff. Free off-road car parking in front of the B&B. Beautiful garden if the weather had been better to sit outside.
Good value for money. Convenient walking distance to Cochem town centre and grocery shop very close.
Quite a basic room - no complimentary shower toiletries (soap at the hand basin though). Fridge, but no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Sound proofing could be better between rooms - we could hear other guests' conversations very easily.

Wonderful
It was was a ·lovely house with a pretty garden and a very warm welcome. Mr and Mrs Schneider were always ready to be helpful, and we enjoyed our breakfasts. It was about a 20 minute walk to the town but very pleasant Riverside walk.
As our room had a little kitchen, the nearby supermarket was useful.
A beer glass in the kitchen is the only thing I can think of that we missed!!
