I was sceptic for the buffet dinner. But turned out that quality was very good. There was roasted venison, stuffed turkey, some fish and a variety of salads, desserts etc. All quite tasty and nicely presented. As for the room: I am not sure why the king size bed had to be two joined beds. So there was a 'gap' in the middle. Otherwise the room was excellent, clean with nice furniture. Bathroom was also clean, no smells, everything very good. We had a room with river view, which is spectacular: the castle, the city and at night everything was illuminated. The spa facilities were also very nice. There were not many people there, which made the whole experience quite 'personal'.
King bed consisted of two separate beds.

I booked a single room, it's an old hotel but it's clean and spacious! And the view was great once you stepped out from the hotel, directly across the river facing the castle! Breakfast was great! The staff gave me a pack of snacks and water after I checked out.
A little far from the train station, probably around 20 min walk.

The double room had a view of the castle and the river. While it was a small room, not what I expected for the price I was paying, I think we were broadly paying for the location.
Firstly, the elevator did not work when we reached, nor when we left two days later. I could see senior citizens trying to get their bags down the flight of stairs. The room keys didn't work either on first try but with some exercise up and down the stairs, we got them going. The price was too high for the size of the room and the level of service, but I guess the location made up for it.

Great location overlooking the castle and river. 10-15 minute walk from train station and close to old town. Large room, with huge balcony. Given many towels so in second day didnt need room cleaned.
Had to walk to another building for breakfast and reception. On arrival we had to walk through the restaurant to get to reception, no one was there to greet us, show us the way or help with bags. It might seem little but for the cost we expected more. Breakfast buffet was average and very crowded/ poorly laid out. On first day we couldnt find anyone to check us off for breakfast and it was so crowded, food running out, lots of people and not enough staff, even though we had breakfast included we chose to eat elsewhere and pay again on the second day. Wifi didnt work in the room.

location. some of the Staff were very pleasant
We had requested 2 parking places, only one was allocated. my email to the Hotel clearly asked for 2, they blamed Booking.com!!!
we had also requested a Table in their Restaurant but they said they were too busy as it was Buffet night and no space. We asked them to recommend and book us a Restaurant in town but refused saying they wouldnt recommend the competition. They put us in a Sister Hotel down the street, one room had NO Air Conditioning and the other room Air Conditioning was faulty and didnt work, temperature was 32 degrees Centigrade. would not recommend this hotel.
