The owner is a treasure. The family owns a winery and makes wonderful Riesling from grape wines more than 60 years old. This special wine is called “Alte Reuben”. The food was wonderful too. Our room was a hike up three flights of stairs but clean, quaint and comfortable

The charm and the view of the river from our room. The breakfast was very good. Water pressure and temperature was excellent and so was the WiFi.
The stairs…LOTS and lots of stairs — no elevator up a narrow, slanted and winding staircase up six flights to the 3rd floor with our luggage to our room was just too much for us (we are in our 70’s)! Our bed also squeaked badly (Room 15).

Lovely breakfast, fantastic view and restaurant. Staff were lovely.
Rooms are basic. No a/c, no electric jug, no fridge. Most of all, the bathrooms have no ventilation. They need an exhaust fan.

Wow, I've had a few stays over the years which have stood out but Hotel Hieronimi has been fantastic. Huge room with the added benefit of a private roof terrace, fantastic staff who only laughed twice at my attempts to speak German. ? Our first evening, after a long days ride, we ate at the hotel restaurant and it was excellent, so much so that we ate there again during our three night stay. If you are on a motorcycle they allow you to park in their secure bottle store on site. Great breakfast as well (including rosé wine if the mood takes!). Much better than staying the Cochem side of the river as you get much better views from the hote of the castlel and the main town is only ten minutes stroll. 10/10.
Not a negative, just something to be aware of, the staff get a well deserved day off on Mondays so after breakfast you are on your own!

This was a fantastic location! Views are absolutely incomparable and it’s right on the river so you get a great breeze. And, being on the other side of the river, it’s much quieter than the busy strip of Cochem.
The beds were a little hard, and the bathroom absolutely tiny.

The view of the castle. The restaurant on the river bank. Very nice breakfast and had gluten free option for celiac guest.
Price a bit high, restaurant closes very early at night.

The position on this side of the river suited us as it was quieter and a much better view of the town and castle.
We have been left with nothing but great memories of our stay.
The only thing that could help with the resultant is having an English version of the menu available.
