The location was amazing.
The staff was efficient but our group wanted to share a bottle we bought on a winery tour and we were told we could not. We drank and ate several times in the restaurant but they would not accommodate a bottle purchased elsewhere.

The hotel is accross the moselle river. Very cozy with a wine brewery in the ground floor. Staff is very helpful.

Perfect location for seeing the Rathaus, Marktplatz, Friedhof, Kirche, and even the Castle. Staff was very friendly, even as I struggled using my German (I am American). The wine from the hotel was also excellent and a good price.
I was surprised they had a small wall mounted AC unit (if you’re from western US, it’s more like a swamp fan), but the room stayed warm until sundown. If you are American and not used to no central AC, just be aware.

Poor
Breakfast typical processed meats cheese bread yogurt yogurt fruit. Location on river but loud with party boats. Small town better value on opposite side of river. The check in confusing because it was the same as the bar. No help offered up the 82 steps to our room, there is no elevator. The breakfast was 68 steps each way. The city is dirty with trash and cigarette buts. Shopping is blah. The castle is good. Bicycle riding along opposite side of the river is good. I would not recommend this place. Go to Rothenberg an du Tauber instead.

The breakfast in the mornings were very delightful. They made fresh eggs and bacon too. The staff we met each day were very kind and helpful. We only knew a little German, but they were able to help us with our questions.
Our rooms were clean, simple but very nice. Large bathroom which looked new and clean.
Even though we had to drag our heavy luggage up 4 flights of stairs to get to them since there was no elevator. Private entrance on side of building.
Took awhile to figure out that you had to check in at their bar at lower level for our stay.
We were 4 flights up with no elevator. Curved staircase with awkward steps. If this was 5 years ago, it wouldn't have been such an issue. At 66 years old and two knee replacements in the last 18 months, it was a little tough.
From the emails we exchanged on their site, I wished I had emphasized and getting a lower level room.
Huge tourist area. The ships on the Mosel river would port in front of the hotel and 50 to 100 people would get off and swarm the the hotel and area. This went on multiple times a day. Great for their business though.

This was our second time in this small hotel.
We like it. It is a beautiful building and the location is the best. We had the bigger room with an amazing view.
Two ladys who work there was so nice and friendly. They work hard to keep everyone happy. Really good value for the money.
One male staff member was extremely rude when we try to ask iron/bord. Maybe he had a bad day?
There was no fridge nor aircon (you can open the windows).

The location was excellent
Leaving at 7 am was problematic only breakfast person available and only by shouting from the street.My room card did not function so most of my luggage was still inside
No one available to help carry luggage down 2 large flights of stairs no elevator.
