It is a beautiful hotel with many options, but you need time. The breakfast hall is really beautiful. Parking is big enough so this is all fine.
This is more a spa hotel and not so fit for stopover on a business trip

Amazing location - quite and peaceful place with an old house and park nearby, cozy rooms with peaceful views, nice breakfast.
The room would benefit from some air ventilation.

Car parking can be worrying as the hot4l spaces can get used up quickly after which it is the adjoining public car park. Castrop needs a few more restaurants.

No secure parking, no tea/coffee in the room, heating not on. The restaurant was not open.

Stayed only one night as a couple. Our arrival was delayed hence we missed the diner. Reception area is nice and welcoming and free parking at the property is a nice add on. The breakfast is great with substantial selection of local meats. Staff is welcoming and polite! We definitely want to come back and stay longer.
The room was set up with three beds despite that we traveled as a couple, so space to move around was limited. The lighting was not dimmable and the bathroom light was too strong for night. Only one drinking water bottle was available. Wi-Fi was free but the information about it was not made available at the check-in.
