Nice, relaxed, clean hotel with a good extended breakfast.
Not too much, perhaps the bar area is not hugely inviting to spend a lot of time there.

Wonderful
Room was nice, not noisy, it was on the river side and on 4th floor. We had no breakfast but walked by the river towards centre and had breakfast there. Location was very nice.

Rooms were very clean, the sauna was really chill and easy to access with a lot of relaxing zones. The breakfast was amazing, lots of options. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we had to wait a bit for the second bathrobe and slippers as there was o my one set in our room, but that was quickly fixed. The bedding and mattress were very soft, excellent sleep
The hammam in the sauna was cold and smelled of mold, impossible to be there. Other sauna units were good though.
Also I booked a large double bed which in fact was two beds moved together and as far as I saw from the pictures that’s the only available option, and for a couple it’s uncomfortable, because the beds are light and move apart even as you just cuddle before sleep.

Steigenberger is generally always a *safe* choice. Staff were friendly yet at check in not very flexible. Checkout staff was more on the ball and actually seemed interested in my expereince feedback.
Impossible to watch TV due to constant 'interferences'. When I had a chower, there were parts falling off the tap and shower hose rail/bar.
INstead of appreicating that I wanted to pay directly at the hotel despite having found a deal on booking.com it was impossible to match the pirce by teh hotel and I had to book online with a wait time till the booking came through.
Parking away from the hotel and not even be able to pay at the hotel seems not a Steigenberger quality of service.
No vanity kit in the bathroom so I needed to use paper tissue trying to clear my ears after teh sauna

I want to give a special mention to Noellia and Amy from reception. I was using the sauna when one of the other guests mistakenly had taken my glasses and put them in his robes pocket. I went down to reception panicked and stressed. There was no sign of the man. Noellia and Amy were amazingly helpful, I gave them a description of the man, and showed a picture of myself in the glasses. I got a phone call to my room an hour later where Noellia told me they found my glasses, the man had come down to reception but apparently hadn't realised he had taken them and it was her 'sixth sense' that urged her to question if he had, by chance, taken another guests pair of glasses, he returned to his room to check and brought them back down. If not for her sixth sense he wouldn't have noticed my glasses were in his room, and I was only halfway through my trip. I'm practically blind without them and it would have been a disaster. Give those girls a medal. I really hope their management sees this.

Overall, we liked the hotel. The rooms are quite spacious, with a nice view from the window. Slippers and bathrobes are provided (although they had holes!). The bathroom was clean and large, and there is a spa.
It turned out there were two saunas: a hotter one and a milder one, plus a hammam. Everywhere there was soap, shampoo with conditioner, water, and towels.
We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary drinks at checkout.
The parking, though paid, is conveniently located right next to the entrance to the building.
We were also very satisfied with the breakfast. There were hot dishes and a good variety to choose from.
Some reviewers mentioned the pillows. You really do sleep as if there were no pillows at all, at least in my experience. However, my partner didn’t agree, so it’s very individual.
Although I was very happy about the hammam, since it’s my favorite type of bath, it took a long time to heat up and didn’t really function properly. Overall, having separate changing rooms is a good thing, but on the other hand, it’s not really necessary when you’re already staying at the hotel. If part of that space had been used for a jacuzzi or a plunge pool instead, it would have been much more enjoyable.
The parking situation was a bit unclear: if you leave within 24 hours, do you have to pay the fee again?
We were also disappointed that on the day of check-in, the restaurant only offered a 3/4 course dinner, which didn’t fit into our plans at all. I chose this hotel for its nice restaurant, but in the end, we had to go into town to find something else. I understand that options are limited during holidays, but aside from the price, we just wouldn’t have been able to eat that much. And it would turn into a whole evening affair, not a quick and pleasant dinner for an hour or so.
