Hotel zum Kuhhirten offers a pleasant stay in a quiet area with good connections to the city center. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is helpful. I did not order breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. Parking is convenient and safe. They also offered a baby crib, although this came at an additional cost. Overall, it’s a welcoming place and a good choice for a stay in Bremen.
Relatively minor, but the décor could benefit from some updating. I also felt that the additional charges for the baby crib and parking could be an area for improvement.

Great staff, great breakfast, and I liked the location a bit outside, yet still in walking distance of the city. If you like, you can even arrive by ferry to cross the river Weser. Smart: a movement detector turned on a little night, quite useful at night!

Nice hotel in a really quiet location. It was easy to park. Nice walk to the city, taking the short ferry. It takes about 40 minutes to reach the city centre walking.

This was our fourth stay at The Hotel Zum Kuhhirten in Bremen, our preferred hotel whenever we pass through Bremen during our annual Germany holiday. The rooms are bright and modern with very comfortable beds and they serve an excellent breakfast. Their staff deserve a special mention as every single one, from the very accommodating lady at reception to the very helpful gentleman serving breakfast, goes above and beyond to make their guests' stay as enjoyable as possible. The location is simply wonderful, tucked away on a little peninsula close to the old town surrounded by allotments and beautiful river landscapes. Our kids always enjoy a splash on the river beach which is safe as quite shallow, there is also a lovely little playground to keep them busy. We also like to enjoy the food and the river view at the nearby Cafe Sand, the ferry travelling across the river right by the cafe is always a highlight.
We honestly cannot fault the hotel amenities or the staff, if I was nitpicking I'd probably recommend to look into expanding the parking lot as it can get a little tight for spaces when the hotel is busy.

Bicycle storage in locked garage. Pleasant location near river beach, cafe and restaurant. Handy for Bremen city on foot or bicycle via the frequent ferry. Fan provided in room as it was a period of extreme heat. Efficient staff. Good breakfast.
